اشتعلت مواقع التواصل خلال الساعات الماضية بعد تداول مقطع مصوّر أثار جدلًا واسعًا حول إيريكا كيرك أرملة الناشط الأمريكي تشارلي كيرك، إذ ظهرت وهي تضع سائلًا في عينيها قبل صعودها إلى المنصة خلال فعالية عامة، ما دفع كثيرين لاتهامها بافتعال البكاء لكسب التعاطف.
المقطع الذي صُوّر في إحدى فعاليات منظمة «نقطة التحول الأمريكية»، أظهر كيرك إلى جانب نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس، بينما زعم مستخدمون أنها كانت تُحضّر دموعًا مزيفة قبل اعتلائها المسرح. وكتب أحد المعلقين: «في حال لم تصدقوا أن إيريكا كيرك كانت تُدبّر الموقف.. إليكم لحظة إعدادها لدموع مصطنعة قبل الدخول».
إلا أن النقاش ازداد تعقيدًا بعد ظهور نسخ معدّلة من المقطع باستخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي تُظهر كيرك وهي ترقص مع فانس، ما جعل كثيرين يشككون في صحة الفيديو الأصلي، وسط تحذيرات من خطورة المحتوى المفبرك.
وأثار تفاعلها على المسرح مزيدًا من الجدل، بعد أن احتضنت السيناتور جي دي فانس وقالت أمام الجمهور: «لن يحلّ أحد محل زوجي أبداً، لكنني أرى بعض أوجه التشابه بين زوجي ونائب الرئيس».
ولم تصدر كيرك أو مؤسستها أي تعليق رسمي على ما تم تداوله، في وقت تواجه فيه ضغوطًا متزايدة منذ توليها رئاسة المنظمة التي أسسها زوجها الراحل.
يذكر أن الناشط اليميني تشارلي كيرك قُتل بالرصاص في العاشر من سبتمبر أثناء نقاش داخل جامعة يوتاه فالي، وهي الحادثة التي دفعت زوجته لاحقًا إلى إعلان عفوها عن القاتل خلال مراسم التأبين، قائلة: «ذلك الشاب أنا أسامحه، لا أريد دمه على يدي».
Social media has erupted in the past few hours after a video clip circulated that sparked widespread controversy regarding Erica Kirk, the widow of American activist Charlie Kirk. She was seen applying a liquid to her eyes before taking the stage during a public event, which led many to accuse her of faking tears to gain sympathy.
The clip, filmed at an event for the “Turning Point USA” organization, showed Kirk alongside U.S. Senator JD Vance, while users claimed she was preparing fake tears before stepping onto the stage. One commenter wrote: “In case you don’t believe Erica Kirk was staging the moment… here’s the moment she prepared artificial tears before going on stage.”
However, the discussion became more complicated after altered versions of the clip appeared using artificial intelligence techniques, showing Kirk dancing with Vance, which made many question the authenticity of the original video, amid warnings about the dangers of fabricated content.
Her interaction on stage sparked further controversy after she embraced Senator JD Vance and said in front of the audience: “No one will ever replace my husband, but I see some similarities between my husband and the Vice President.”
Kirk and her organization have not issued any official comment on what has been circulated, at a time when she is facing increasing pressure since taking over the leadership of the organization founded by her late husband.
It is worth noting that right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead on September 10 during a discussion at Utah Valley University, an incident that later led his wife to announce her forgiveness of the killer during the memorial service, saying: “That young man, I forgive him, I don’t want his blood on my hands.”
