استغل لصوص فترة الهدوء خلال أعياد الميلاد لتنفيذ عملية سطو مدروسة على فرع بنك «سباركاسه» في مدينة غيلسنكيرشن غرب ألمانيا، حيث حفرّوا نفقاً عبر جدار خرساني سميك للوصول إلى الخزنة الرئيسية، وسرقوا محتويات آلاف الخزائن الخاصة بالعملاء بقيمة تقدر بعشرات الملايين من اليورو.
اختراق جدار خرساني بجوار جراج
وأعلنت الشرطة الألمانية، مساء (الثلاثاء) أن الجناة اخترقوا الجدار الخرساني من جراج مجاور، ثم فتحوا بالقوة عدة آلاف من الخزائن الآمنة، محملين بأموال نقدية ومجوهرات ومقتنيات ثمينة.
سرقة أكثر من 10 ملايين يورو
وبحسب تقارير محلية، يُقدر حجم السرقة بمبلغ يتراوح بين 10 ملايين يورو وأكثر، فيما اكتُشفت الجريمة بعد أن أطلق إنذار حريق في ساعات الفجر الأولى، مما دفع الشرطة إلى اكتشاف الثقب الكبير في الجدار.
عطلة عيد الميلاد في ألمانيا
وفي ألمانيا، تغلق معظم البنوك والمتاجر أبوابها من مساء 24 ديسمبر حتى نهاية العطلة، مما منح اللصوص وقتاً كافياً لإتمام العملية دون إزعاج.
وتجمع عشرات العملاء الغاضبين أمام الفرع يوم الثلاثاء، مرددين هتافات «أدخلونا!» مطالبين بمعلومات عن ممتلكاتهم.
غضب العملاء
وقال أحد العملاء لإذاعة «ويلت» إنه لم ينم الليلة السابقة بسبب القلق، مضيفاً: «أستخدم هذه الخزنة منذ 25 عاماً، وفيها مدخراتي للشيخوخة»، وأشار آخر إلى أنه يحفظ في خزنته نقوداً ومجوهرات عائلية.
ولم يصدر تعليق فوري من متحدث باسم بنك سباركاسه في غيلسنكيرشن رداً على طلبات التعليق.
استمرار التحقيقات
فيما أفادت شهادات شهود عيان برؤية عدة رجال يحملون حقائب كبيرة في درج الجراج المجاور ليلة السبت.
كما شوهدت سيارة أودي RS6 سوداء تغادر الجراج صباح الإثنين وعلى متنها رجال ملثمون، وتبين أن لوحة السيارة مسروقة من مدينة هانوفر، التي تبعد أكثر من 200 كيلومتر شمال شرق غيلسنكيرشن.
وتواصل الشرطة تحقيقاتها في هذه العملية الجريئة التي تبدو مدروسة بعناية، وسط مخاوف من تأثر آلاف العملاء بفقدان مدخراتهم الشخصية.

According to local reports, the estimated amount of the theft ranges between 10 million euros and more, while the crime was discovered after a fire alarm was triggered in the early hours of dawn, prompting the police to uncover the large hole in the wall.

In Germany, most banks and stores close their doors from the evening of December 24 until the end of the holiday, giving the thieves ample time to carry out the operation without disturbance.
Dozens of angry customers gathered outside the branch on Tuesday, chanting “Let us in!” demanding information about their belongings.
Customer Anger
One customer told “Welt” radio that he hadn’t slept the previous night due to worry, adding: “I have been using this safe for 25 years, and it contains my retirement savings.” Another pointed out that he keeps cash and family jewelry in his safe.
No immediate comment was issued by a spokesperson for the Sparkasse bank in Gelsenkirchen in response to requests for comment.
Investigations Ongoing
Witness testimonies reported seeing several men carrying large bags in the stairwell of the adjacent garage on Saturday night.
A black Audi RS6 was also seen leaving the garage on Monday morning with masked men inside, and it was found that the car’s license plate was stolen from the city of Hanover, which is more than 200 kilometers northeast of Gelsenkirchen.
The police continue their investigations into this bold operation, which appears to have been carefully planned, amid concerns that thousands of customers may be affected by the loss of their personal savings.
