علمني الإعلام.. أن كثيراً من الأحيان يقدم المؤخر، ويؤخر المقدم.
علمني الإعلام.. أن الكفاءة ليست سبباً في الوصول إلى القمة، وأن العلاقات رأس الحربة في التواجد والانتشار.
علمني الإعلام.. أن البثارة- وليست الإثارة- أسهل الطرق لتكون في الصف الأول.
علمني الإعلام.. أن الشللية- وليس الميول- محطة دائمة للاستمرار والتواجد.
علمني الإعلام.. أن الصدفة أحياناً أقوى من التخطيط والمبادرة والابتكار في الوصول إلى المناصب والارتقاء نحو النجومية.
علمني الإعلام.. أن العقلانية والاتزان والموضوعية مبادئ تجعلك «محلك سر»، لا تؤكل عيشاً وسط الصخب والضجيج.
علمني الإعلام.. أن تفوّق التلميذ على الأستاذ ليس بسبب الكفاءة والتمكين والقدرة والإمكانات، بل بسبب النفاق والوصولية ودهن السير.
علمني الإعلام.. أن المظهر يتفوق على الجوهر في كثير من الأحيان.
علمني الإعلام.. أن المسرحيات أكثر انتشاراً من الوقائع والحقائق.
علمني الإعلام.. أن الردح مذموم، لكنه هو السائد في معظم القضايا الجدلية.
هكذا كتب الزميل عيسى الجوكم عبر منشور وجدت فيه ما يجيز لي الاتفاق معه بالمطلق، فكل نقطة أشار إليها تحكي واقعاً، بل همّاً مشتركاً تأملت تفاصيله من خلال «علمني الإعلام»، ومن لم يعلمه الإعلام يا عيسى لن يتعلّم..
• أخيراً: يقول الكاتب الروسي فيودور دوستويفسكي:
«إنّ من يحترم نفسه لا بد أن يتعرض للوقاحات وأن تناله الإهانات».
بينما يقول الشاعر الأمريكي هنري لونجفيلو:
«من يحترم نفسه يصبح في مأمن من الآخرين، فهو يرتدي درعاً لا يستطيع أحد أن يخترقه».
مع مَنْ تتفق يا عيسى..؟
Media taught me.. that often the delayed comes first, and the first is delayed.
Media taught me.. that competence is not a reason to reach the top, and that relationships are the spearhead for presence and spread.
Media taught me.. that sensationalism—not excitement—is the easiest way to be in the front row.
Media taught me.. that cliques—not inclinations—are a permanent station for continuity and presence.
Media taught me.. that chance is sometimes stronger than planning, initiative, and innovation in reaching positions and ascending to stardom.
Media taught me.. that rationality, balance, and objectivity are principles that keep you “stuck in place,” unable to make a living amidst the noise and clamor.
Media taught me.. that a student’s superiority over the teacher is not due to competence, empowerment, ability, or potential, but rather due to hypocrisy, opportunism, and flattery.
Media taught me.. that appearance often outweighs substance.
Media taught me.. that dramas are more widespread than events and facts.
Media taught me.. that bickering is condemned, yet it prevails in most controversial issues.
This is how my colleague Issa Al-Joukam wrote in a post where I found ample justification to agree with him completely; every point he mentioned reflects a reality, indeed a shared concern that I contemplated through “Media taught me.” And those who have not learned from the media, Issa, will not learn…

“He who respects himself must be exposed to insults and face challenges.”
While the American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow says:
“He who respects himself is safe from others; he wears an armor that no one can penetrate.”
