إيزابيل التي كانت مسجلة في مدرسة محلية، سقطت فجأة أثناء انشغال والدتها بأعمال الغسيل في الفناء. وحاولت الأم جاهدة إنقاذ ابنتها، واستغاثت بالجيران الذين سارعوا لتقديم الإسعافات الأولية، لكن الطفلة فارقت الحياة قبل وصولها إلى المستشفى.

وذهبت السلطات المحلية إلى أن الحادثة تُعامل كحادثة منزلية عرضية، بينما تستمر فرق التحقيق في جمع التفاصيل الرسمية. وأثارت الحادثة موجة حزن كبيرة بين أهالي المنطقة وزملاء والدتها، الذين عبّروا عن صدمتهم لفقدان الطفلة الصغيرة قبل أيام قليلة من عيد ميلادها الثالث.
