من تايوان إلى جزر سينكاكو.. اليابان والصين على شفا الهاوية! – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو
حذّرت السفارة اليابانية في بكين، مواطنيها الزائرين أو المقيمين في الصين من ضرورة رفع درجة الحيطة والحذر، وتجنّب الأماكن المزدحمة، وعدم التجوّل بمفردهم، مع نصيحة خاصة بمرافقة الأطفال بحذر مضاعف، وذلك على خلفية التوتر الدبلوماسي الحاد الذي أثارته تصريحات رئيسة الوزراء اليابانية ساناي تاكايتشي بشأن تايوان.
وكانت تاكايتشي قد أكدت أمام البرلمان الياباني في وقت سابق من نوفمبر الجاري أن أي هجوم صيني على تايوان يهدد بقاء اليابان «قد يستدعي ردا عسكريا يابانيا»، وهو أقوى تصريح بهذا المستوى منذ سنوات طويلة، ما اعتبرته بكين «تدخلا سافرا في شؤونها الداخلية».
الصين تطالب بالتراجع.. واليابان ترفض
والتقى نائب وزير الخارجية الياباني مع نظيره الصيني في بكين، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، في محاولة لاحتواء التصعيد، لكن الاجتماع لم يُسفر عن أي اختراق.
وأكدت الخارجية الصينية أنها طالبت طوكيو رسميا بسحب تصريحات تاكايتشي فورا، بينما قال المتحدث باسم الحكومة اليابانية مينورو كيهارا في مؤتمر صحفي (الثلاثاء)، إن «هذه التصريحات لا تمثل تغييرا في الموقف الياباني التقليدي»، مشددا على أمل طوكيو في حل قضية تايوان سلميا عبر الحوار.
حملة إعلامية صينية شرسة
وردّت وسائل الإعلام الصينية الرسمية بحدة؛ إذ اتهمت وكالة «شينخوا» (الثلاثاء) تاكايتشي بأنها «تستدعي شياطين العسكرية اليابانية» مرة أخرى، كما نشر دبلوماسي صيني في اليابان تعليقا يحمل طابع التهديد الشخصي ضد رئيسة الوزراء، ما استدعى احتجاجا يابانيا رسميا.
مقاطعة سياحية واقتصادية
وفي خطوة تصعيدية عملية، دعت السلطات الصينية مواطنيها إلى تجنب السفر إلى اليابان «في الوقت الحالي».
ويُشكّل السياح الصينيون نحو ربع إجمالي السياح الوافدين إلى اليابان، ما أدى إلى انهيار أسهم شركات السياحة والطيران اليابانية فور الإعلان.
كما أعلنت أكثر من 10 شركات طيران صينية كبرى استرداد كامل تذاكر الرحلات إلى اليابان حتى 31 ديسمبر، وألغت شركة خطوط سيتشوان الجوية خططها لتدشين خط تشنغدو-ساپورو حتى مارس القادم على الأقل.
وأوقفت دور العرض الصينية عرض فيلمين يابانيين كانا مقررين خلال الأسابيع القادمة، وهما فيلم الأنيمي «كرايون شين-تشان» وفيلم «خلايا في العمل!»، ووصفت قناة CCTV القرار بأنه «حكيم يعكس مشاعر الشعب».
تحذيرات اقتصادية يابانية
في سياق متصل، حذّرت وزيرة الأمن الاقتصادي اليابانية كيمي أونودا من أن «الاعتماد المفرط على دولة تلجأ للإكراه الاقتصادي بمجرد إزعاجها يشكل خطرا على سلاسل التوريد والسياحة معا».
وأكد وزير التجارة ريوسي أكازاوا أنه لم يُرصد حتى الآن أي تغيير في قيود الصين على تصدير المعادن النادرة، لكن القلق ما زال قائما.
توتر عسكري في جزر سينكاكو
وفي تطور ميداني آخر، أبحرت سفن خفر السواحل الصينية (الأحد) داخل المياه الإقليمية المحيطة بجزر سينكاكو التي تسيطر عليها اليابان وتطالب بها الصين، وطردتها القوات اليابانية. وأكد السفير الأمريكي في طوكيو جورج غلاس، عبر منصة «إكس»، أن «الولايات المتحدة ملتزمة تماما بالدفاع عن اليابان، بما في ذلك جزر سينكاكو»، فردت الخارجية الصينية بأن تصريحاته «عرض سياسي خبيث».
قمة العشرين.. فرصة ضائعة!
وكانت قمة مجموعة العشرين في جنوب أفريقيا هذا الأسبوع تُعدّ منصة محتملة لتهدئة التوتر، لكن بكين أكدت أن رئيس وزرائها ليس لديه خطط للقاء تاكايتشي، وقال المتحدث الياباني كيهارا إن طوكيو لا تزال منفتحة على «حوارات متنوعة» مع الصين.
The Japanese embassy in Beijing has warned its citizens visiting or residing in China to raise their level of caution, avoid crowded places, and refrain from wandering alone, with a special recommendation to accompany children with extra care, in light of the acute diplomatic tensions sparked by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takagi’s statements regarding Taiwan.
Takagi had confirmed before the Japanese parliament earlier this November that any Chinese attack on Taiwan that threatens Japan’s survival “could necessitate a Japanese military response,” which is the strongest statement of this level in many years, something Beijing considered “a blatant interference in its internal affairs.”
China demands a retraction… Japan refuses
The Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister met with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing today (Tuesday) in an attempt to contain the escalation, but the meeting did not result in any breakthrough.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed that it officially demanded Tokyo to retract Takagi’s statements immediately, while Japanese government spokesperson Minor Kihara stated in a press conference (Tuesday) that “these statements do not represent a change in Japan’s traditional position,” emphasizing Tokyo’s hope to resolve the Taiwan issue peacefully through dialogue.
A fierce Chinese media campaign
Chinese state media responded sharply; the Xinhua News Agency (Tuesday) accused Takagi of “summoning the ghosts of the Japanese military” once again, and a Chinese diplomat in Japan published a comment that carried a personal threat against the Prime Minister, prompting an official Japanese protest.
Tourism and economic boycott
In a practical escalation step, Chinese authorities urged their citizens to avoid traveling to Japan “at this time.”
Chinese tourists make up about a quarter of the total incoming tourists to Japan, leading to a collapse in the shares of Japanese tourism and airline companies immediately after the announcement.
More than 10 major Chinese airlines also announced full refunds for tickets to Japan until December 31, and Sichuan Airlines canceled its plans to launch the Chengdu-Sapporo route until at least next March.
Chinese cinemas have also halted the screening of two Japanese films that were scheduled for the coming weeks, namely the anime film “Crayon Shin-chan” and the film “Cells at Work!”, with CCTV describing the decision as “wise and reflective of the people’s sentiments.”
Japanese economic warnings
In a related context, Japanese Minister of Economic Security Kimi Onoda warned that “over-reliance on a country that resorts to economic coercion at the slightest disturbance poses a risk to both supply chains and tourism.”
Trade Minister Ryoshi Akazawa confirmed that no changes have been observed so far in China’s restrictions on the export of rare metals, but concerns remain.
Military tension in the Senkaku Islands
In another field development, Chinese coast guard ships sailed (on Sunday) into the territorial waters surrounding the Senkaku Islands, which are controlled by Japan and claimed by China, and were expelled by Japanese forces. The U.S. ambassador to Tokyo, George Glass, confirmed via the platform “X” that “the United States is fully committed to defending Japan, including the Senkaku Islands,” to which the Chinese Foreign Ministry responded that his statements were “a malicious political display.”
The G20… a missed opportunity!
The G20 summit in South Africa this week was seen as a potential platform to ease tensions, but Beijing confirmed that its Prime Minister has no plans to meet with Takagi, while Japanese spokesperson Kihara stated that Tokyo remains open to “various dialogues” with China.
