دعا رئيس الوزراء السوداني كامل إدريس، أمس (الخميس)، المجتمع الدولي إلى مساندة مبادرة طرحتها حكومته لوقف النزاع المسلح بين الجيش وقوات الدعم السريع، ووضع البلاد على طريق السلام، وذلك خلال لقاءات عقدها في مدينة جنيف مع مسؤولين أمميين.
اتهامات مباشرة وانتهاكات غير مسبوقة
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء السودانية (سونا) أن إدريس قدّم، خلال لقاءين منفصلين مع المفوض السامي لحقوق الإنسان في الأمم المتحدة فولكر تورك، ومديرة منظمة الهجرة الدولية إيمي بوب، عرضاً لما وصفه بـ«الفظائع والانتهاكات غير المسبوقة» التي ارتكبتها قوات الدعم السريع بحق المدنيين.
مبادرة حكومية وخارطة طريق
وخلال لقائه مع فولكر تورك، استعرض رئيس الوزراء السوداني مبادرة حكومته وبنودها بالتفصيل، لا سيما المحاور المتعلقة بحماية وتطوير حقوق الإنسان، إلى جانب الجوانب الخاصة بالعمل الإنساني، مؤكداً أن المبادرة تمثل رؤية متكاملة لإنهاء النزاع وتحقيق السلام المستدام.
وفي لقائه مع مديرة منظمة الهجرة الدولية، تطرق إدريس إلى الأوضاع الإنسانية المتدهورة وأزمة النزوح الواسعة، معتبراً أن ما يجري في السودان «حرب بالوكالة» تشنها قوات الدعم السريع ضد الدولة ومواطنيها، وأسهمت في تعميق الكارثة الإنسانية.
العودة الطوعية وإعادة الإدماج
وأكد إدريس تطلع حكومته إلى دور أكبر لمنظمة الهجرة الدولية في دعم العودة الطوعية للسودانيين، وإعادة الإدماج والتعافي المبكر، وربط الجهود الإنسانية بالمسار التنموي، إلى جانب معالجة أوضاع السودانيين في دول المهجر والتحديات التي تواجه العائدين.
وشدد رئيس الوزراء السوداني على التزام حكومته بتسهيل عمل المنظمات الإنسانية وضمان سلامة العاملين في المجال الإنساني، مع التأكيد على احترام السيادة الوطنية والتنسيق عبر الآليات الحكومية المعتمدة.
نزاع مستمر وكلفة إنسانية فادحة
وكان كامل إدريس قد وصل إلى جنيف، الثلاثاء الماضي، في زيارة تهدف إلى بحث عدد من القضايا مع مسؤولي وكالات الأمم المتحدة، في وقت تتفاقم فيه المأساة الإنسانية في السودان جراء النزاع المستمر منذ أبريل 2023، والذي أسفر عن مقتل عشرات الآلاف ونزوح نحو 15 مليون شخص.
The Sudanese Prime Minister, Kamal Idris, called on the international community yesterday (Thursday) to support an initiative proposed by his government to halt the armed conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, and to set the country on the path to peace, during meetings he held in Geneva with UN officials.
Direct Accusations and Unprecedented Violations
The Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) reported that Idris presented, during two separate meetings with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, and the Director of the International Organization for Migration, Amy Pope, an overview of what he described as “the atrocities and unprecedented violations” committed by the Rapid Support Forces against civilians.
Government Initiative and Roadmap
During his meeting with Volker Turk, the Sudanese Prime Minister detailed his government’s initiative and its provisions, particularly the aspects related to the protection and development of human rights, alongside the humanitarian work aspects, emphasizing that the initiative represents a comprehensive vision to end the conflict and achieve sustainable peace.
In his meeting with the Director of the International Organization for Migration, Idris addressed the deteriorating humanitarian conditions and the widespread displacement crisis, considering what is happening in Sudan as a “proxy war” waged by the Rapid Support Forces against the state and its citizens, which has contributed to deepening the humanitarian catastrophe.
Voluntary Return and Reintegration
Idris affirmed his government’s aspiration for a greater role for the International Organization for Migration in supporting the voluntary return of Sudanese, reintegration, and early recovery, linking humanitarian efforts with the developmental path, in addition to addressing the conditions of Sudanese in exile and the challenges facing returnees.
The Sudanese Prime Minister emphasized his government’s commitment to facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations and ensuring the safety of humanitarian workers, while reaffirming respect for national sovereignty and coordination through the approved governmental mechanisms.
Ongoing Conflict and Heavy Human Cost
Kamal Idris arrived in Geneva last Tuesday on a visit aimed at discussing several issues with UN agency officials, at a time when the humanitarian tragedy in Sudan is worsening due to the ongoing conflict since April 2023, which has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands and the displacement of nearly 15 million people.
