يلتقي منتخبنا الوطني الأول لكرة القدم الساعة 8:00 من مساء اليوم (الإثنين) نظيره المنتخب المغربي على استاد لوسيل، وذلك في ختام لقاءات دور المجموعات للمجموعة الثانية لكأس العرب المقامة حالياً في قطر.
يدخل المنتخب السعودي هذا اللقاء بعد أن ضمن التأهل لدور الثمانية، إثر فوزه في اللقاءين السابقين أمام عمان وجزر القمر ليحصد 6 نقاط، وأحرز هجومه 5 أهداف، فيما تلقت شباكه هدفين، ورغم غياب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد مدرب الأخضر عن المواجهة الأخيرة، إلا أن نجوم منتخبنا قدموا أداءً رائعاً، وسيستمر غياب رينارد عن لقاء اليوم أيضاً، ويطمح المنتخب السعودي للفوز أو التعادل على أقل تقدير؛ لضمان المركز الأول للمجموعة.
فيما يدخل المنتخب المغربي هذا اللقاء محتلاً المركز الثاني برصيد 4 نقاط جمعها من فوز وتعادل، إذ تمكن من تخطي منتخب جزر القمر في المباراة الافتتاحية وتعثر بالتعادل أمام عمان في الجولة الماضية، وأحرز هجومه 3 أهداف واستقبلت شباكه هدفاً وحيداً وجميعها أتت في المباراة الأولى، ويسعى في لقاء الليلة للفوز لضمان التأهل وانتزاع الصدارة من المنتخب السعودي.
وفي المواجهة الأخرى وفي التوقيت ذاته، يلتقي منتخب عمان ثالث المجموعة نظيره منتخب جزر القمر صاحب المركز الرابع والأخير، ويسعى المنتخب العماني للتمسك بآماله بالتأهل للدور الثاني إذ يملك نقطة وحيدة من تعادل وله هدف وحيد وسكنت شباكه هدفان، وللتأهل يجب عليه الفوز بفارق 3 أهداف وتعثر المنتخب المغربي بالخسارة من منتخبنا الوطني، فيما فقد منتخب جزر القمر فرصة التأهل بعد أن تلقى خسارتين من المغرب والسعودية وسكنت شباكه 5 أهداف فيما أحرز هجومه هدفين فقط.

The Saudi team enters this match after securing qualification for the quarter-finals, following their victories in the previous two matches against Oman and Comoros, earning 6 points.
