السعودية تستعد لإطلاق أول قمر صناعي متخصص في رصد طقس الفضاء – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو

تواصل وكالة الفضاء السعودية اهتمامها بمتابعة الظواهر المتزايدة في طقس الفضاء والانفجارات الشمسية خلال 2025م، نظراً لما قد تسبّبه من تأثيرات على عدد من الأنظمة الحيوية مثل: الاتصالات الفضائية، والأقمار الصناعية، والملاحة الجوية، ويسهم ذلك في تمكين الجهات المختصة والباحثين من مراقبة طقس الفضاء والتنبؤ بآثاره على القطاعات الحسّاسة، واتخاذ الإجراءات الاحترازية اللازمة.

وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن بلوغ الدورة الشمسية ذروتها في عام 2025 يرتبط بارتفاع مستويات الإشعاع الشمسي، مؤكدة أهمية تعزيز التعاون الدولي؛ لضمان توفير بيانات دقيقة وآنية، تُسهم في دعم مختلف القطاعات.

تعزيز القدرات

وفي إطار جهود المملكة لتعزيز قدراتها في مراقبة طقس الفضاء، أعلنت الوكالة في مايو 2025م، خطتها لإطلاق أول قمر صناعي سعودي متخصص في رصد طقس الفضاء، وذلك بالتعاون مع وكالة الفضاء الأمريكية (ناسا) وبرنامج تطوير الصناعة الوطنية والخدمات اللوجستية (ندلب)، أحد برامج تحقيق رؤية المملكة 2030.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة الإستراتيجية؛ لتمكين الجهات الوطنية من متابعة النشاط الشمسي، ورفع جاهزية القطاعات الحيوية، وسيعمل القمر على جمع بيانات دقيقة تعزز استدامة أنظمة الاتصالات والأقمار الصناعية والملاحة والطيران، وتدعم مستوى السلامة في هذه القطاعات المهمة.

The Saudi Space Agency continues its interest in monitoring the increasing phenomena in space weather and solar flares during 2025, due to the potential impacts on several vital systems such as: space communications, satellites, and air navigation. This contributes to enabling the relevant authorities and researchers to monitor space weather and predict its effects on sensitive sectors, and to take the necessary precautionary measures.

The agency indicated that the peak of the solar cycle in 2025 is associated with increased levels of solar radiation, emphasizing the importance of enhancing international cooperation to ensure the provision of accurate and timely data that supports various sectors.

Enhancing Capabilities

As part of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance its capabilities in monitoring space weather, the agency announced in May 2025 its plan to launch the first Saudi satellite specialized in monitoring space weather, in collaboration with the American Space Agency (NASA) and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NDLP), one of the programs aimed at achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

This strategic step aims to enable national entities to monitor solar activity and enhance the readiness of vital sectors. The satellite will work to collect accurate data that enhances the sustainability of communication systems, satellites, navigation, and aviation, and supports the level of safety in these important sectors.
