باكستان تُنهي مسار الاتفاق مع الإمارات لتشغيل مطار إسلام آباد – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو

قررت الحكومة الباكستانية تعليق خطة إسناد إدارة وتشغيل مطار إسلام آباد الدولي إلى دولة الإمارات.

وبحسب مصادر مطلعة لصحيفة «إكسبريس تريبيون» الباكستانية، فإن حالة الجمود بين البلدين جاءت نتيجة التأخيرات المتكررة من الجانب الإماراتي في تسمية الجهة التي ستتولى مهمة إدارة وتشغيل مطار إسلام آباد الدولي، ما دفع الحكومة الباكستانية إلى إعادة النظر في المسار المتفق عليه.

وأقرت الحكومة مقترحاً بإدراج مطار إسلام آباد الدولي ضمن قائمة الخصخصة النشطة، وذلك عقب النجاح الذي حققته عملية خصخصة الخطوط الجوية الباكستانية (PIA).

وقالت المصادر إن دولة الإمارات، رغم إبدائها اهتماماً مبدئياً، لم تُبلّغ الجانب الباكستاني باسم الجهة المرشحة لإدارة وتشغيل المطار، ما دفع باكستان لطلب رد نهائي من الجانب الإماراتي عبر خطاب أخير، إلا أن الإمارات أفادت بعدم قدرتها على تأكيد أي جهة مرشحة في الوقت الراهن. وعلى إثر ذلك، وافقت الحكومة على إدراج مطار إسلام آباد الدولي ضمن قائمة الخصخصة النشطة، أسوة بالتجربة الناجحة لخصخصة الخطوط الجوية الباكستانية.

وكانت الحكومة الباكستانية قد رفضت في وقت سابق طلب الإمارات إدراج مطاري جناح الدولي في كراتشي، وعلامة إقبال الدولي في لاهور ضمن مسودة إطار اتفاق حكومي – حكومي (G2G).

كما لم تحظَ مطالبة حكومة الإمارات بخصخصة الربط الجوي بين أبوظبي وباكستان، ضمن إطار الاتفاق الحكومي المقترح، بموافقة الجانب الباكستاني.

The Pakistani government has decided to suspend the plan to assign the management and operation of Islamabad International Airport to the United Arab Emirates.

According to informed sources for the Pakistani newspaper “Express Tribune,” the stalemate between the two countries arose due to repeated delays from the Emirati side in naming the entity that would take over the management and operation of Islamabad International Airport, prompting the Pakistani government to reconsider the agreed-upon path.

The government approved a proposal to include Islamabad International Airport in the active privatization list, following the success achieved in the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

The sources stated that the United Arab Emirates, despite showing initial interest, did not inform the Pakistani side of the name of the entity proposed to manage and operate the airport, which led Pakistan to request a final response from the Emirati side through a last letter. However, the UAE indicated that it was unable to confirm any proposed entity at this time. As a result, the government agreed to include Islamabad International Airport in the active privatization list, similar to the successful experience of privatizing Pakistan International Airlines.

Previously, the Pakistani government had rejected the UAE’s request to include Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore in the draft framework of a government-to-government (G2G) agreement.

The Emirati government’s demand for the privatization of air connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Pakistan, within the framework of the proposed government agreement, also did not receive approval from the Pakistani side.
