تأهل المنتخب السعودي لالتقاط الأوتاد إلى كأس العالم 2026، التي تستضيفها الأردن، بعد تصدره الترتيب العام وحصوله على بطاقة التأهل عن المجموعة (ب)، ضمن منافسات البطولة التأهيلية لكأس العالم، التي اختتمت اليوم في مدينة العقبة الأردنية.

وجاء تأهل الأخضر عقب أداء مميز قدمه طوال أيام البطولة التي استمرت 3 أيام، توج خلالها بالمركز الأول في الترتيب العام للفرق، إلى جانب تتويج الفارس راشد المري بجائزة أفضل فارس في البطولة بعد حلوله أولًا، وجاء الفارس مشعل الشمري في المركز الثالث.

وحقق المنتخب السعودي حضورًا لافتًا في مختلف أشواط البطولة، إذ نال المركز الأول في مسابقة المعلقات والتتابع للفرق، وسيطر فرسان الأخضر على منصة التتويج في منافسات الفردي، حيث حل الفارس حسن عسيري أولًا، تلاه راشد المري ثانيًا، ومشعل الشمري ثالثًا.

وفي مسابقة السيف، حقق الفارس راشد المري المركز الأول، وحل الأخضر في المركز الثالث، وتوج الفارس مشعل الشمري بالمركز الأول في مسابقة الرمح، وحقق المنتخب السعودي المركز الثالث في ذات المسابقة.

ومثل المنتخب السعودي في البطولة كل من الفرسان: راشد المري، وحسن عسيري، ومشعل الشمري، وخالد اليامي، وعبدالرحمن الحربي، تحت إشراف المدرب عبدالوهاب عسيري.

يُذكر أن المنتخب السعودي سيشارك في كأس العالم 2026 بصفته حامل اللقب، بعد فوزه بكأس العالم 2023 في جنوب أفريقيا لفئتي الفرق والفردي، مواصلًا حضوره المميز في البطولات العالمية لرياضة التقاط الأوتاد.

The Saudi national team for tent pegging has qualified for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by Jordan, after topping the overall standings and securing a qualification spot from Group (B) in the World Cup qualifying tournament, which concluded today in the Jordanian city of Aqaba.

The qualification of the Green Team came after an impressive performance throughout the three-day tournament, during which they secured first place in the overall team standings. Additionally, rider Rashid Al-Mari was awarded the title of Best Rider in the tournament after finishing first, while rider Mishaal Al-Shammari came in third place.

The Saudi team made a remarkable presence in various rounds of the tournament, winning first place in the team competitions for the hanging targets and relay. The riders of the Green Team dominated the podium in the individual competitions, with rider Hassan Asiri finishing first, followed by Rashid Al-Mari in second, and Mishaal Al-Shammari in third.

In the sword competition, rider Rashid Al-Mari achieved first place, and the Green Team secured third place. Rider Mishaal Al-Shammari took first place in the spear competition, and the Saudi team also finished third in the same event.

The Saudi team was represented in the tournament by riders: Rashid Al-Mari, Hassan Asiri, Mishaal Al-Shammari, Khalid Al-Yami, and Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, under the supervision of coach Abdulwahab Asiri.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi team will participate in the 2026 World Cup as the defending champion, after winning the 2023 World Cup in South Africa in both team and individual categories, continuing its remarkable presence in global tent pegging competitions.
