أفصح مصدر مقرب من العائلة، أن قبيلة القذاذفة استلمت جثمان سيف الإسلام القذافي، مؤكدا أن الدفن سيكون في مدينة سرت.وأفاد بأنه كان وحده في الاستراحة أثناء الهجوم عليه.

وفي أول تعليق له، دان رئيس المجلس الرئاسي الليبي محمد المنفي، عملية اغتيال سيف الإسلام القذافي. ودعا المجلس، في بيان، اليوم (الأربعاء)، كل القوى السياسية إلى انتظار ما ستسفر عنه نتائج التحقيقات الرسمية، مؤكداً متابعته الدقيقة لسير مجريات التحقيق بما يضمن عدم إفلات المنفذين من العقاب وترسيخ مبدأ المحاسبة.

وعبر المجلس عن تفهمه لمصادر القلق المتصاعد في الشارعِ الليبي، مرحباً بالاستعانة بالدعم الفني والخبرات اللازمة ضمن الأطر القانونية المعتمدة، لتعزيز شفافية التحقيقات وتسريع إعلان نتائجها، وبما يسهم في تعزيز ثقة الرأي العام.

وطالب القوى السياسية والإعلامية والاجتماعية بضبط الخطاب العام ورفض التحريض للحيلولة دون استغلال الجريمة لتحقيق أهداف ترمي إلى تقويض مسار المصالحة الوطنية.

واعتبر المجلس الرئاسي أن «الهدف من الاغتيال يتمثّل في ضرب الجهود الرامية إلى إجراء انتخابات حرة ونزيهة يختار فيها الشعب الليبي قيادته بإرادة مستقلة»، مؤكداً أن ليبيا لا تدار بالعنف ولا تبنى بالخوف، وأن القتل خارج إطارِ القانون مرفوض.

يذكر أن 4 مسلحين مجهولين اغتالوا سيف الإسلام القذافي، مساء أمس الثلاثاء، في منزله بمدينة الزنتان جنوب غربي طرابلس. وقال المكتب السياسي لسيف الإسلام إنه كان صائماً ويتحضر للإفطار في حديقة منزله عند اغتياله.

وأفاد بأنه اغتيل في منزله بعد عودته من الخارج، مضيفاً أن مسلحين قفزوا من سور الحديقة وأطلقوا عليه الرصاص. وأكد أن نجل القذافي لم يكن مهتماً بالحماية الأمنية ويتنقل بسيارة واحدة.

وكان مكتب النائب العام الليبي أعلن في وقت سابق، أن المحققين والأطباء الشرعيين فحصوا الجثة أمس. وأضاف في بيان، أن الأطباء الشرعيين توصلوا إلى أنه توفي متأثراً بجروح ناجمة عن طلقات نارية. فيما أكدت النيابة العامة أنها تعمل على تحديد هوية المشتبه بهم واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لرفع دعوى جنائية.

A source close to the family revealed that the Qadhafi tribe has received the body of Saif al-Islam Qadhafi, confirming that the burial will take place in the city of Sirte. It was reported that he was alone in the rest house during the attack on him.

In his first comment, the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, condemned the assassination of Saif al-Islam Qadhafi. The Council called, in a statement today (Wednesday), on all political forces to await the results of the official investigations, affirming its close monitoring of the investigation process to ensure that the perpetrators do not escape punishment and to establish the principle of accountability.

The Council expressed its understanding of the rising concerns in the Libyan street, welcoming the assistance of technical support and necessary expertise within the approved legal frameworks, to enhance the transparency of the investigations and expedite the announcement of their results, contributing to strengthening public trust.

It called on political, media, and social forces to control the public discourse and reject incitement to prevent the exploitation of the crime to achieve goals aimed at undermining the national reconciliation process.

The Presidential Council considered that “the aim of the assassination is to undermine efforts aimed at conducting free and fair elections in which the Libyan people choose their leadership with independent will,” affirming that Libya is not governed by violence and cannot be built on fear, and that killing outside the framework of the law is unacceptable.

It is noteworthy that four unknown gunmen assassinated Saif al-Islam Qadhafi on Tuesday evening at his home in the city of Zintan, southwest of Tripoli. The political office of Saif al-Islam stated that he was fasting and preparing to break his fast in the garden of his home at the time of his assassination.

It was reported that he was killed at his home after returning from abroad, adding that gunmen jumped over the garden wall and opened fire on him. It was confirmed that Qadhafi’s son was not concerned about security protection and was moving in a single car.

The Libyan Public Prosecutor’s Office had previously announced that investigators and forensic doctors examined the body yesterday. It added in a statement that the forensic doctors concluded that he died from injuries sustained from gunfire. Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution confirmed that it is working to identify the suspects and take the necessary measures to file a criminal lawsuit.
