معالي المستشار تركي آل الشيخ أحدث طفرة في الاحتفاء برموز الوطن العربي على جميع المستويات والفنون.
وبقيادته (ومن خلال هيئة الترفيه) أقيمت حفلات تكريم لعديد من الرموز العربية، والعالمية، والملاحظ أن الهيئة اتخذت من شعار الوفاء عنواناً لتكريم الرموز العربية، وهو الوفاء الذي سنّته المملكة لكل من خدم الثقافة والفنون العربية، وبالأمس تم تكريم وزير الثقافة المصري فاروق حسني، هذا الرمز العربي الفنان والذي تولى وزارة الثقافة المصرية (1987-2011).
وقد حدثت في زمنه أعمال كثيرة ذات عمق ثقافي وعمراني، وهو الوزير الفنان الذي تشعر من خطواته الثقة والفخامة خطوات استقراطية اتسم صاحبها بالهدوء المتزن، ومع ذلك الاحتفاء الذي حدث بالأمس تذكرنا زمن الثقافة المصرية في عهد الوزير فاروق حسني، زمن كان التشدّد يسير حثيثا في عداء حاد مع كل الفنون، تذكرنا حرق رواية (وليمة لأعشاب البحر) لحيدر حيدر، والمظاهرات التي فارت على سمعة تلك الرواية، وتذكرنا محاولة اغتيال الروائي النوبلي نجيب محفوظ، وتذكرنا أن الوزير فاروق حسني اعتبر الثقافة مشروعاً وطنياً يستوجب نهوض كل المؤسسات في ترسيخ الثقافة كحالة إلزامية لمواجهة التطرف الديني، وتذكرنا معركة اليونسكو التي أخفت أسرار سياسية كانت تقف في طريق ترؤسه لذلك المنصب… تذكرنا الأيام الخوالي بين الصعود والهبوط على سلالم الثقافة، تذكرنا المنطلقات والانعطافات، وتذكرنا جمال الفنون وانحصارها.
البارحة كان احتفالاً للجمال بصانع الجمال.. وقد منح معالي المستشار تركي آل الشيخ الاحتفاء (أبهة) بذلك الرمز العربي، واصفاً المحتفى به بجملة عميقة المعنى والأثر حين قال: (رجل عظيم من بلد عظيم)، كما أن تقبيل الرأس تقديرا يفوق الجائزة رفعة وإجلالا.
وفعلاً الأشخاص هم من تسعد بهم الجوائز، وليس العكس، وهذا ما قاله معالي المستشار:
«الجائزة تتشرف بك».
His Excellency Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh has made a significant leap in celebrating the symbols of the Arab nation at all levels and in all arts.
Under his leadership (and through the Entertainment Authority), numerous tribute events have been held for many Arab and international figures. It is noteworthy that the authority has adopted the slogan of loyalty as the title for honoring Arab symbols, which is the loyalty that the Kingdom has established for everyone who has served Arab culture and arts. Yesterday, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Farouk Hosny, was honored; he is an Arab artistic symbol who held the position of Minister of Culture in Egypt from 1987 to 2011.
During his tenure, many works of significant cultural and architectural depth took place. He is the artistic minister whose confident and majestic steps reflect a balanced calmness. With the celebration that occurred yesterday, we were reminded of the era of Egyptian culture during Minister Farouk Hosny’s time, a period when rigidity was advancing rapidly in sharp opposition to all forms of art. We remembered the burning of the novel “A Banquet for the Sea’s Herbs” by Haidar Haidar, and the protests that erupted over the reputation of that novel. We recalled the attempted assassination of Nobel laureate novelist Naguib Mahfouz, and we remembered that Minister Farouk Hosny considered culture a national project that required all institutions to rise in establishing culture as a mandatory condition to confront religious extremism. We also remembered the UNESCO battle that concealed political secrets that stood in the way of his presidency of that position… We reminisced about the old days between the rise and fall on the steps of culture, recalling the beginnings and turns, and we remembered the beauty of the arts and their confinement.
Yesterday was a celebration of beauty by the maker of beauty… His Excellency Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh granted this celebration the (grandeur) of that Arab symbol, describing the honoree with a phrase of deep meaning and impact when he said: (A great man from a great country), and the act of kissing the head in appreciation surpasses the honor of the award in elevation and reverence.
Indeed, it is the individuals who bring joy to the awards, not the other way around, and this is what His Excellency the Advisor said:
“The award is honored by you.”
