لم تكن زيارةُ وليِّ العهدِ رئيسِ مجلسِ الوزراءِ الأميرِ محمدٍ بنِ سلمانَ بنِ عبدِ العزيز إلى الولاياتِ المتّحدةِ الأميركيةِ حدثاً دبلوماسياً عابراً، ولا مجرّد محطةٍ ضمن جدولٍ سياسيٍّ مزدحمٍ؛ بل كانت لحظةً فارقةً في تاريخِ العلاقةِ بين الرياضِ وواشنطن، ومنعطفاً يعيدُ تشكيلَ ميزانِ القوى في المنطقةِ، ويضعُ المملكةَ في قلبِ المعادلةِ الدوليةِ بوزنٍ غير مسبوقٍ.

منذ لحظةِ وصولِ ولي العهد، والاستقبالُ المهيبُ الذي نظّمته الإدارةُ الأميركيةُ -استقبالاً أقربَ إلى استقبالِ رؤساءِ الدولِ العظمى- كان المؤشرُ الأولُ على أنّ الولاياتِ المتّحدةَ تدركُ أنّ ضيفَها ليس زعيماً عادياً، وأنّ السعوديةَ لم تعد دولةً تنتظرُ إشعاراتِ الدعمِ أو رضا الحلفاءِ، بل دولةٌ تأتي وهي تحملُ مشروعاً واضحاً، ورؤيةً اقتصاديةً وسياسيةً تجعلُ الآخرينَ يعيدون حساباتِهم.

تحالفٌ يعاد تشكيلُه:

الملفُّ الاقتصاديُّ كان محوراً أساسياً، إذ أعلنت المملكةُ عن نيتها رفعَ حجمِ استثماراتِها في الولاياتِ المتّحدةِ ليصلَ إلى تريليونِ دولارٍ. هذا الرقمُ لا يعبّرُ فقط عن توسّعِ اقتصاديٍّ، بل عن ثقةٍ بقدرةِ الصناديقِ السعوديةِ على قيادةِ تحولاتٍ كبرى في الاقتصادِ العالميِّ، وعن إدراكٍ أميركيٍّ لأهميةِ أن يكونَ رأسُ المالِ السعوديُّ جزءاً من خارطةِ النموِّ الأميركيِّ في القطاعاتِ الحسّاسةِ.

وشملت النقاشاتُ ملفاتِ الذكاءِ الاصطناعيِّ، والمعادنِ الحرجةِ، والطاقةِ المتقدمةِ، والبنى التحتيةِ، ما يجعلُ الزيارةَ نقطةَ انطلاقٍ لفصلٍ جديدٍ من التداخلِ الاقتصاديِّ الذي يتجاوزُ أرقامَ التجارةِ ويصلُ إلى صناعةِ المستقبلِ.

الملفُّ النوويُّ.. مفاوضاتٌ تُبنى على قوة:

أما التعاونُ النوويُّ المدنيُّ، فكان حديثَ الأروقةِ الأميركيةِ، لأنّ الرياضَ تدخلُ هذا الملفَّ وهي تمسكُ بخيوطِ الطاقةِ العالميةِ، وتملكُ القدرةَ على اختيارِ شريكِها النوويِّ. ولذلك، جاءت تصريحاتُ المسؤولينَ الأميركيينَ واضحةً: لا اتفاقَ نهائياً بعد، لكن المسارَ مفتوحٌ وفق شروطٍ تحافظُ المملكةُ فيها على سيادتِها وخياراتِها.

الشرقُ الأوسطُ من منظورِ الرياضِ:

أنّ المملكةَ تقودُ الشرقَ الأوسطَ سياسياً واقتصادياً وأمنياً، وأنّ واشنطن -رغم كل التحولاتِ- لا تستطيعُ تجاهلَ مركزيةِ الرياضِ في صناعةِ الاستقرارِ العالميِّ.

والأهمُّ أنّ الاستقبالَ الأميركيَّ العلنيَّ، والحفاوةَ الاستثنائيةَ، واللغةَ التي استخدمها الرئيسُ الأميركيُّ، كلّها تعكسُ إدراكاً واضحاً بأنّ الأميرَ محمدَ بنَ سلمانَ ليس مجرد قائدٍ في لحظةٍ سياسيةٍ، بل رجلٌ يعيدُ تشكيلَ الجغرافيا والاقتصادِ والتحالفاتِ بطريقةٍ لم يشهدْها الإقليمُ منذ عقودٍ.

زيارةٌ كتبت فصلاً جديداً في علاقةٍ كبرى، وأعلنت أنّ الرياضَ اليومَ ليست تابعاً، ولا باحثاً عن دورٍ… بل صانعٌ للدورِ، وصعوبةٌ في المعادلةِ، ورقمٌ لا يمكنُ تجاوزه.

From the moment the Crown Prince arrived, the grand reception organized by the U.S. administration—more akin to a welcome for heads of major states—was the first indicator that the United States recognizes that its guest is not an ordinary leader, and that Saudi Arabia is no longer a country waiting for notifications of support or the approval of allies, but a nation that comes bearing a clear project and an economic and political vision that compels others to reassess their calculations.

A reshaped alliance:

At the heart of the visit, the “Strategic Defense Agreement” was signed, which is not just a development of the historical relationship but a redefinition of an alliance that both parties wish to extend for decades to come. The classification of the Kingdom as a “Major Non-NATO Ally” by the United States confirms this fact and opens the door to advanced military, industrial, and technological partnerships, solidifying the Kingdom’s ability to build a deterrent force that ensures its security and that of the region.

As for civil nuclear cooperation, it was the talk of American corridors, as Riyadh enters this file holding the strings of global energy and has the ability to choose its nuclear partner. Therefore, the statements from American officials were clear: there is no final agreement yet, but the path is open under conditions that allow the Kingdom to maintain its sovereignty and options.

The Middle East from Riyadh’s perspective:

Regional issues, from Gulf-American relations to developments with Iran, to stability paths in the Red Sea and Sudan, were present in the dialogue, but Riyadh no longer approaches these files from a reactive standpoint; rather, it does so from the perspective of Vision 2030, which considers stability a strategic element necessary for growth and for the Kingdom’s international position.

Among the key points, the Kingdom emphasized that relations with Washington are based on mutual respect, and that Saudi Arabia is not a party seeking protection, but a partner that possesses its own decision-making power and knows where to place its interests and how to create its weight.
