قبل محاكمة قياداته.. اتحاد السباحة المصري يجمّد نشاطه – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو
أعلن الاتحاد المصري للسباحة تجميد نشاطه، قبل ساعات من محاكمة قياداته في قضية وفاة السباح الناشئ يوسف محمد.
وكان الطفل يوسف محمد قد توفي مطلع ديسمبر الجاري، عقب تعرضه لإغماء مفاجئ أثناء مشاركته في بطولة الجمهورية للسباحة تحت 12 سنة، التي أُقيمت في مجمع حمامات السباحة باستاد القاهرة الدولي.
وقررت النيابة العامة المصرية إحالة كل من رئيس وأعضاء مجلس إدارة اتحاد السباحة، والمدير التنفيذي، ورئيس لجنة المسابقات بالاتحاد، ومدير البطولة، والحكم العام، إضافة إلى ثلاثة من أفراد طاقم الإنقاذ، إلى المحاكمة الجنائية العاجلة، ومن المقرر نظر القضية اليوم (الخميس) 25 ديسمبر 2025، على خلفية اتهامهم بالتسبب خطأً في وفاة الطفل أثناء مشاركته في البطولة.
بيان رسمي من اتحاد السباحة
من جانبه، أوضح اتحاد السباحة في بيان رسمي صدر منذ قليل، أنه قرر في جلسته المنعقدة بتاريخ 24 ديسمبر 2025 تجميد جميع أعماله، احتراماً للرأي العام المصري، وأسرة السباح الراحل يوسف محمد، والقضاء المصري، وجهات التحقيق المختصة كافة.
وأضاف البيان أنه تم إخطار الاتحاد الدولي للألعاب المائية لاتخاذ ما يراه مناسباً بشأن إدارة شؤون الاتحاد المصري للألعاب المائية، وفقاً للقواعد واللوائح المعمول بها دولياً.
وشدد اتحاد السباحة على انصياعه الكامل لما تقرره المحكمة، مؤكداً ضرورة محاسبة كل من يثبت تقصيره أو إدانته في هذه الواقعة الأليمة.
The Egyptian Swimming Federation announced the suspension of its activities just hours before the trial of its leaders in the case of the death of the young swimmer, Youssef Mohamed.
The child Youssef Mohamed passed away at the beginning of December, after suffering a sudden fainting spell while participating in the national swimming championship for under-12s, which was held at the Cairo International Stadium swimming complex.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution decided to refer the president and members of the board of directors of the Swimming Federation, the executive director, the head of the competitions committee, the tournament director, the chief referee, in addition to three members of the rescue team, to urgent criminal trial, with the case scheduled for hearing today (Thursday) December 25, 2025, based on accusations of causing the child’s death by mistake during his participation in the championship.
Official Statement from the Swimming Federation
For its part, the Swimming Federation clarified in an official statement issued a short while ago that it decided in its meeting held on December 24, 2025, to suspend all its activities, in respect for the Egyptian public opinion, the family of the late swimmer Youssef Mohamed, the Egyptian judiciary, and all relevant investigative authorities.
The statement added that the International Aquatics Federation has been notified to take whatever actions it deems appropriate regarding the management of the affairs of the Egyptian Aquatics Federation, in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable internationally.
The Swimming Federation emphasized its complete compliance with whatever the court decides, affirming the necessity of holding accountable anyone found negligent or guilty in this tragic incident.
