لأول مرة بتاريخها.. فنزويلا تصدر غاز البترول المسال – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو
أعلنت رئيسة فنزويلا بالوكالة ديلسي رودريغيز أن بلادها وقعت أول عقد لتصدير غاز البترول المسال (LPG).
وقالت رودريغيز خلال فعالية نقلها التلفزيون الرسمي: «نشهد اليوم توقيع أول عقد لتسويق غاز البترول المسال في تاريخ فنزويلا، نحن نفي بالتزاماتنا تجاه الرئيس نيكولاس مادورو وشعبنا».
وتنتج فنزويلا غاز البترول المسال في مجمع خوسيه للتكرير شرق البلاد. إلا أن مستويات الإنتاج تراجعت خلال السنوات الأخيرة بفعل نقص الاستثمارات وكثرة الاضطرابات، ما أدى إلى نقص الإمدادات الذي أثر على المواطنين في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.
توسيع الصادرات
ويشكل الغاز المرافق، الذي يُستخرج إلى جانب النفط، جزءاً كبيراً من إمدادات الغاز في فنزويلا. وبينما تنفذ بعض الشركات مشاريع لاستغلال هذا الوقود، لا يزال الجزء الأكبر منه يُحرق حالياً.
ويتطلب توسيع صادرات الغاز تنسيقاً سياسياً مع الولايات المتحدة في أعقاب إلقاء إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب القبض على مادورو.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في وقت تعمل فيه رودريغيز على إعادة تقديم فنزويلا كوجهة منفتحة على الاستثمار الأجنبي، عبر تخفيف قيود استمرت لفترة طويلة على قطاع الطاقة، مع تكيف الحكومة مع واقع سياسي جديد أعقب الإطاحة بمادورو.
Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez announced that her country has signed its first contract for the export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
Rodríguez said during an event broadcasted by state television: “Today we witness the signing of the first contract for marketing liquefied petroleum gas in Venezuela’s history. We are fulfilling our commitments to President Nicolás Maduro and our people.”
Venezuela produces liquefied petroleum gas at the José refining complex in the east of the country. However, production levels have declined in recent years due to a lack of investment and numerous disruptions, leading to supply shortages that have affected citizens across the country.
Expanding Exports
Associated gas, which is extracted alongside oil, constitutes a large part of Venezuela’s gas supplies. While some companies are implementing projects to exploit this fuel, the majority of it is still being flared currently.
Expanding gas exports requires political coordination with the United States following the Trump administration’s indictment of Maduro.
This move comes at a time when Rodríguez is working to reintroduce Venezuela as an open destination for foreign investment by easing long-standing restrictions on the energy sector, as the government adapts to a new political reality following Maduro’s ousting.
