تأهل مانشستر سيتي إلى نهائي كأس رابطة الأندية الإنجليزية المحترفة «كاراباو»، بعد تغلبه على نيوكاسل يونايتد بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف، في المباراة التي أقيمت أمس (الأربعاء)، ضمن منافسات إياب الدور نصف النهائي.

وكان السيتي قد تغلب على نيوكاسل بهدفين دون في لقاء الذهاب، ليتأهل متفوقاً 5-1 بمجموع المباراتين، ويضرب موعداً مع أرسنال على ملعب «ويمبلي» في 22 مارس.

سجل النجم المصري عمر مرموش ثنائية لمانشستر سيتي في الدقيقتين 7 و29، لتصبح فرص نيوكاسل في التأهل شبه مستحيلة.

وواصل السماوي هيمنته في الشوط الأول، إذ سجل تيغاني ريندرز الهدف الثالث لأصحاب الأرض في الدقيقة 32.

وفي الشوط الثاني، أحرز أنثوني إيلانغا هدفاً لفريق نيوكاسل في الدقيقة 63، لكن اللاعب أهدر فرصتين بعدها للتسجيل، إحداهما لا تصدق من أمام المرمى مباشرة.

Manchester City has qualified for the final of the English Football League Cup “Carabao,” after defeating Newcastle United three goals to one, in the match that took place yesterday (Wednesday), as part of the second leg of the semi-finals.

City had previously beaten Newcastle two goals to nil in the first leg, qualifying with an aggregate score of 5-1, and will face Arsenal at Wembley Stadium on March 22.

The Egyptian star Omar Marmoush scored a brace for Manchester City in the 7th and 29th minutes, making Newcastle’s chances of qualifying nearly impossible.

The Sky Blues continued their dominance in the first half, as Teghani Reinders scored the third goal for the hosts in the 32nd minute.

In the second half, Anthony Elanga scored a goal for Newcastle in the 63rd minute, but the player missed two opportunities to score afterward, one of which was incredible from directly in front of the goal.
