يخطو محمد سامي خطوة جريئة نحو التمثيل، بعد أن توقفت خطته الأولى لمسلسل «8 طلقات» قبل أن ترى النور. المشروع الذي كان من المقرر أن يشارك فيه مع الممثل فتحي عبد الوهاب، ويخرجه أحمد المصري، نجل الفنان ماجد المصري، واجه سلسلة من العقبات الإنتاجية واعتذار بعض النجوم البارزين، لتتجمد التحضيرات بشكل كامل.

لكن سامي لم يسمح لهذه الانتكاسة بإيقاف حلمه في الوقوف أمام الكاميرا. وأكدت مصادر مقربة أن المخرج المصري بدأ فوراً البحث عن نص جديد يتيح له الظهور في تجربة تمثيلية مختلفة، تحمل رسائل اجتماعية قوية، ويخطط لتجسيد شخصية مدرس يواجه «مافيا الدروس الخصوصية» في صراع حاد مع استغلال الطلاب وذويهم لتحقيق أرباح مالية ضخمة.

ويسلط النص الجديد الضوء على الأزمات التعليمية في مصر، ويركز على تقديم نموذج إيجابي للكوادر التربوية، مع إبراز أساليب مبتكرة لتحصيل المعرفة، لتصبح التجربة الأولى لسامي في التمثيل فرصة لإيصال رسالة مهمة للمجتمع، بعيداً عن الأكشن والدراما التقليدية.

محمد سامي الذي سجل حضوراً لافتاً في الموسم الرمضاني الماضي من خلال إخراج مسلسلين ناجحين هما «إش إش» و«سيد الناس»، اختار الابتعاد مؤقتاً عن مقعد الإخراج والسفر خارج البلاد للانغماس في الدراسة، بعد 15 عاماً من العمل المتواصل، خشية أن يشعر الجمهور بالتكرار أو التشبع بأسلوبه الفني.

من جانبها، أكدت زوجته الفنانة مي عمر أن القرار جاء لاستعادة النشاط وتجديد الإلهام بعيداً عن ضغوط التصوير، بينما يرى سامي نفسه في هذه التجربة فرصة جديدة لإعادة تعريف مسيرته الفنية، هذه المرة أمام الكاميرا.

وحتى الآن، لم يُعلن موعد بدء تصوير العمل الجديد، لكن الترقب يتصاعد بين جمهوره، الذي يتطلع لمشاهدة المخرج المخضرم وهو يخطو بثقة نحو عالم التمثيل، في مغامرة تحمل طموحاً ورسالة اجتماعية مهمة.

The project, which was supposed to feature actor Fathy Abdel Wahab and be directed by Ahmed El Masry, the son of artist Magdy El Masry, faced a series of production obstacles and the withdrawal of some prominent stars, causing preparations to come to a complete standstill.

However, Sami did not allow this setback to stop his dream of standing in front of the camera. Close sources confirmed that the Egyptian director immediately began searching for a new script that would allow him to appear in a different acting experience, carrying strong social messages. He plans to portray a teacher who confronts the “private tutoring mafia” in a fierce struggle against the exploitation of students and their families to achieve massive financial profits.

The new script highlights the educational crises in Egypt and focuses on presenting a positive model for educational cadres, while showcasing innovative methods for acquiring knowledge. This first acting experience for Sami is seen as an opportunity to convey an important message to society, away from traditional action and drama.

Mohamed Sami, who made a notable presence in last Ramadan’s season by directing two successful series, “Ish Ish” and “Sayyid El Nas,” chose to temporarily step away from the director’s chair and travel abroad to immerse himself in study, after 15 years of continuous work, fearing that the audience might feel repetition or saturation with his artistic style.

For her part, his wife, actress Mai Omar, confirmed that the decision was made to regain energy and renew inspiration away from the pressures of filming, while Sami sees this experience as a new opportunity to redefine his artistic career, this time in front of the camera.

So far, no date has been announced for the start of filming the new work, but anticipation is rising among his audience, who are eager to see the veteran director confidently stepping into the world of acting in an adventure that carries ambition and an important social message.
