وزير الصحة فهد الجلاجل غرّد مهنئاً أمير منطقة الرياض الأمير فيصل بن بندر بمناسبة اعتماد منظمة الصحة العالمية مدينتي الزلفي والغاط كمدن صحية حسب معايير المنظمة العالمية. ونحن نفرح ونهنئ القيادة وأهالي تلك المناطق بهذا الإنجاز الإنساني الجميل الذي يُفترض أنه يعكس تقدماً كبيراً في خدمات صحية وبلدية وتعليمية وغير ذلك من قبل الجهات المختصة ومن قبل الأهالي والقطاع الخاص هناك، أتمنى أن نشهد العديد من مدننا يتم اعتمادها في مثل هذه التصنيفات الدولية، وأن ينعكس ذلك على حياة المواطن والمقيم في تلك المناطق، وأن لا يضطر المريض مثلاً للبحث عن العلاج في مستشفيات المدن الكبيرة، ونجد البعض يطالبون بضرورة العلاج في المستشفيات الكبرى في العاصمة الرياض مثلاً، وهذه في اعتقادي إشكالية مستمرة تحتاج لمعالجة من قبل وزارة الصحة، فلماذا لا توجد مستشفيات حكومية متطورة في تلك المناطق أو بينها لتخدم أكثر شريحة من السكان، وأن توفر جميع الخدمات الصحية فيها بدون الحاجة للانتظار الطويل للتحويل لمستشفيات العاصمة أو المدن الكبيرة الأخرى، وقد يأتي قرار التحويل متأخراً في بعض الأحيان. من معايير المدينة الصحية أن تهتم بالوقاية قبل العلاج، وهذا يتطلب جهوداً مكثفة، منها التوعوية في مجال الصحة العامة في الوقاية من الأمراض المزمنة كالسكري وأمراض القلب. التعليم جانب مهم في المدينة الصحية وحق الأطفال والسكان في التعليم بكافة مراحله، ونشهد في بلادنا الطيبة انتشاراً وتوزيعاً عادلاً للتنمية في كافة المجالات؛ ومنها إنشاء جامعات وكليات في المدن المتوسطة، مما يساعد في التنمية المستدامة في تلك المناطق، وجذب طلاب وموظفين لتلك الجامعات في تلك المناطق، وبدورها تنعش الحياة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية فيها بدل أن يهجر أبناء تلك المناطق مدنهم وقراهم للرياض أو للمدن الكبيرة، حيث توجد أغلب الجامعات الحكومية والخاصة، وهذا بدوره يزيد من الهجرة المتزايدة من الريف للمدن، وبالتالي نشهد العديد من الأزمات وخاصة الاقتصادية من غلاء الأسعار في السكن خاصة، وازدحام في الطرقات، مما يتسبب في وجود ظروف طاردة في بعض المدن، وهذا يتناقض مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة، حتى توزيع الوظائف والحصول عليها يفترض أن يكون متوفراً في المدن الصحية وليس فقط في العاصمة الرياض، وأنا أتفهم الوضع الذي تعيشه الرياض اليوم من مشاريع جبارة وفعاليات كبيرة ضخمة، وما سوف تحتضنه المملكة بشكل عام في السنوات القادمة، ولكن يفترض أن يدفعنا لإنشاء مدن متوسطة مثالية أو الاستثمار في مدننا ومناطقنا المحلية، ومن شاهد المدن الصناعية مثلاً في ينبع والجبيل سيكون على قناعة بمفهوم المدينة الصحية المثالية التي تجذب سكانها لحياة عنوانها الجودة والاستدامة بدلاً من الهجرات المتزايدة من تلك المناطق للرياض أو جدة مثلاً. التقنية والاستثمار فيها من قبل المملكة بكافة أشكالها جعلها من أفضل الدول في خدمات الإنترنت والمعلومات، وهذا يساعد في تحقيق تنمية متوازنة، فكلنا شاهدنا كيف تتم عمليات جراحية معقدة بالروبوتات، وهذا يعطيني ملمحاً على شكل العالم وما سوف يكون عليه في المستقبل القريب القادم، وهذا سوف يساعد في إيجاد خدمات صحية وتعليمية في كافة المناطق، وبنفس المستوى والكفاءة. حسب موقع وزارة الصحة توجد ١٦ مدينة صحية سعودية معتمدة من منظمة الصحة العالمية، وأتمنى أن نشهد اعتماداً لأغلب مدننا الكبيرة والمتوسطة في هذه المؤشرات العالمية، وأن يكون لها تأثير وانعكاس حقيقي على مستوى وحياة الإنسان فيها.

Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel tweeted congratulating the Prince of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, on the occasion of the World Health Organization’s approval of the cities of Al-Zulfi and Al-Ghat as healthy cities according to the organization’s standards. We rejoice and congratulate the leadership and the residents of those areas on this beautiful humanitarian achievement, which is supposed to reflect significant progress in health, municipal, educational services, and more from the relevant authorities and the local community and private sector there. I hope we will witness many of our cities being recognized in such international classifications, and that this will positively impact the lives of citizens and residents in those areas, so that patients do not have to seek treatment in hospitals in large cities. We find some people demanding the necessity of treatment in major hospitals in the capital, Riyadh, for example, and I believe this is an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed by the Ministry of Health. Why are there no advanced government hospitals in those areas or between them to serve the largest segment of the population, and to provide all health services without the need for long waits for referrals to hospitals in the capital or other large cities, especially since sometimes the referral decision may come late? One of the criteria for a healthy city is to focus on prevention before treatment, which requires intensive efforts, including awareness in public health regarding the prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart diseases. Education is an important aspect of a healthy city and the right of children and residents to education at all levels. We witness in our good country a fair distribution of development in all fields, including the establishment of universities and colleges in medium-sized cities, which helps in sustainable development in those areas and attracts students and employees to those universities, which in turn revitalizes the economic and social life there instead of the children of those areas abandoning their cities and villages for Riyadh or large cities, where most government and private universities are located. This, in turn, increases the migration from rural areas to cities, leading to many crises, especially economic ones, such as the rising cost of housing and traffic congestion, which creates repelling conditions in some cities. This contradicts the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision. Even the distribution of jobs and access to them should be available in healthy cities, not just in the capital, Riyadh. I understand the situation Riyadh is experiencing today with its massive projects and large events, and what the Kingdom will host in general in the coming years, but this should push us to create ideal medium-sized cities or invest in our local cities and regions. Anyone who has seen the industrial cities, for example, in Yanbu and Jubail will be convinced of the concept of the ideal healthy city that attracts its residents to a life characterized by quality and sustainability instead of the increasing migrations from those areas to Riyadh or Jeddah, for instance. Technology and investment in it by the Kingdom in all its forms have made it one of the best countries in internet and information services, which helps achieve balanced development. We have all seen how complex surgeries are performed using robots, which gives me a glimpse of what the world will look like in the near future, and this will help provide health and educational services in all regions at the same level and efficiency. According to the Ministry of Health’s website, there are 16 accredited Saudi healthy cities by the World Health Organization, and I hope we will witness the accreditation of most of our large and medium cities in these global indicators, and that it will have a real impact and reflection on the quality of life of individuals in them.
