مصر تدعو إلى عملية سياسية شاملة في السودان وإنشاء ملاذات وممرات آمنة – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو
شدد وزير الخارجية المصري الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي على ضرورة إطلاق عملية سياسية شاملة ذات ملكية سودانية، مع التأكيد على موقف مصر الثابت الداعم لاحترام سيادة السودان ووحدته وسلامة أراضيه، والحفاظ على مؤسساته الوطنية.
وأكد، خلال لقاء نائب وزير الخارجية الأمريكي كريستوفر لاندو أهمية التوصل إلى هدنة إنسانية، وإنشاء ملاذات وممرات إنسانية آمنة، تمهيداً لوقف شامل لإطلاق النار في السودان.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية، اليوم (الأحد) استقبل عبد العاطي نائب وزير الخارجية الأمريكي كريستوفر لاندو، لبحث سبل تعزيز الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين مصر والولايات المتحدة وبحث سبل تطوير العلاقات الثنائية في المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية، بالإضافة إلى تطورات الأوضاع في غزة، والسودان، والقرن الأفريقي، والأمن المائي المصري.
وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية المصرية السفير تميم خلاف، إن اللقاء تطرق إلى الأوضاع في منطقة القرن الأفريقي، حيث شدد الوزير عبد العاطي على أن أي اعتراف بما يسمى «أرض الصومال» يُعد مخالفاً للقانون الدولي، وينتهك سيادة ووحدة الأراضي الصومالية، ويقوض أسس الاستقرار في القرن الأفريقي، محذراً من تداعيات التصعيد على أمن واستقرار المنطقة والبحر الأحمر.
وأضاف أن اللقاء تناول مستجدات الأوضاع في قطاع غزة، حيث أعرب الوزير عبد العاطي عن ترحيب مصر بالانضمام الي مجلس السلام واشاد بالدور البارز للرئيس الأمريكي في التوصل لاتفاق شرم الشيخ، مشدداً على أهمية المضي قدماً في تنفيذ استحقاقات المرحلة الثانية من خطة الرئيس الأمريكي، ودعم اللجنة الوطنية لإدارة غزة، وسرعة نشر قوة الاستقرار الدولية لمراقبة وقف إطلاق النار، وفتح معبر رفح في الاتجاهين، وتحقيق الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من القطاع، بما يمهد لمرحلة التعافي المبكر وإعادة الإعمار وفق مقاربة شاملة تستند إلى احتياجات الفلسطينيين فى القطاع، وضمان استمرار تدفق المساعدات الإنسانية دون عوائق.
وفيما يخص ملف الأمن المائي، ثمّن الوزير عبد العاطي رسالة الرئيس دونالد ترمب، وجهوده المقدّرة في ترسيخ دعائم السلام والاستقرار إقليمياً ودولياً، وما تضمنته من تقدير للدور المحوري الذي تضطلع به مصر في دعم أمن واستقرار المنطقة، مؤكداً في هذا السياق أن نهر النيل شريان الحياة للشعب المصري الذي يعيش في ندرة مائية حادة، وأن مصر تلتزم بثوابت واضحة تقوم على التعاون الجاد والبنّاء مع دول حوض النيل، وفق مبادئ القانون الدولي، وبما يحقق المصالح المشتركة دون إضرار بأي طرف، مع الرفض التام للإجراءات الأحادية.
كما أعرب عبد العاطي عن التطلع إلى عقد النسخة الثانية من المنتدى الاقتصادي المصري-الأمريكي خلال النصف الأول من العام الحالي، بما يسهم في جذب مزيد من الاستثمارات الأمريكية الي مصر، وتوسيع مجالات التعاون في القطاعات ذات الأولوية.
وبحسب البيان أشاد نائب وزير الخارجية الأمريكي بالعلاقات الوطيدة بين مصر والولايات المتحدة، وما تحققه الشراكة الإستراتيجية من منفعة متبادلة في شتى المجالات، مثمنا الجهود التي تبذلها مصر لدعم الامن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aati emphasized the necessity of launching a comprehensive political process with Sudanese ownership, reaffirming Egypt’s steadfast position supporting the respect for Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and the preservation of its national institutions.
He confirmed, during a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, the importance of reaching a humanitarian truce and establishing safe havens and humanitarian corridors, paving the way for a comprehensive ceasefire in Sudan.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (Sunday), Abdel Aati received U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau to discuss ways to enhance the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States and explore ways to develop bilateral relations in political and economic fields, in addition to developments in Gaza, Sudan, the Horn of Africa, and Egyptian water security.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, stated that the meeting addressed the situation in the Horn of Africa, where Minister Abdel Aati stressed that any recognition of what is called “Somaliland” is a violation of international law, undermines the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia, and jeopardizes the foundations of stability in the Horn of Africa, warning of the repercussions of escalation on the security and stability of the region and the Red Sea.
He added that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, where Minister Abdel Aati expressed Egypt’s welcome to join the Peace Council and praised the prominent role of the U.S. President in reaching the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement, emphasizing the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the second phase requirements of the U.S. President’s plan, supporting the National Committee for Gaza management, the swift deployment of an international stabilization force to monitor the ceasefire, opening the Rafah crossing in both directions, and achieving the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, paving the way for an early recovery phase and reconstruction based on a comprehensive approach that addresses the needs of the Palestinians in the Strip, and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid.
Regarding the water security file, Minister Abdel Aati appreciated President Donald Trump’s message and his valued efforts in establishing the pillars of peace and stability regionally and internationally, which included recognition of the pivotal role Egypt plays in supporting the security and stability of the region, affirming in this context that the Nile River is the lifeline for the Egyptian people who live in acute water scarcity, and that Egypt is committed to clear principles based on serious and constructive cooperation with Nile Basin countries, in accordance with international law principles, achieving mutual interests without harming any party, while completely rejecting unilateral actions.
Abdel Aati also expressed hope for holding the second edition of the Egyptian-American Economic Forum during the first half of this year, which would contribute to attracting more American investments to Egypt and expanding areas of cooperation in priority sectors.
According to the statement, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State praised the close relations between Egypt and the United States, and the mutual benefits achieved by the strategic partnership in various fields, appreciating the efforts made by Egypt to support security and stability in the region.
