في السعودية كل النتائج على المستويات كافة، وفي كثير من المجالات تشهد تحولاً إيجابياً ينمّ عن قوة العمل والرغبة في التفوق وفق الرؤية المباركة لهذه الدولة العظيمة، لكن في ما يخص كرة القدم تحديداً لا يبدو الأمر في موقعه الذي نتمناه، فالمقياس الحقيقي في هذا القطاع الذي يتابعه الكثير من الناس، وتنتمي إليه كثير من المجتمعات، ويحظى باهتمام شريحة كبيرة من البشر هي النتائج، وهذا ما لا نجده على مستوى المنتخبات تحديداً.

في اتحاد الكرة بقيادة «ياسر المسحل» العمل لا يتناسب مع الإمكانات المقدمة لنشاهد منتخبات تفوز وتحقق النتائج الجيدة، بعض التفاصيل البسيطة يمكن النظر إليها والاهتمام بها بعد أن ننجز العمل الأهم.

الاختباء خلف إنجازات وهمية لن يجعلكم في الصورة المثالية أمام الشارع الرياضي، فتأهُل المنتخب السعودي من الملحق الآسيوي إلى كأس العالم القادمة ليس إنجازاً عظيماً، فنحن نملك هذا الحضور عندما كانت فرص التأهل أصعب مما هي عليه في هذه النسخة التي لم نستطع التأهل فيها إلا من خلال الملحق الآسيوي. كذلك تكريم «سالم الدوسري» بعد أن وصل لـ100 مباراة دولية مع المنتخب السعودي لا يُعتبر إنجازاً يخدم اتحاد الكرة، ويجعلنا نشيد بعملهم.

بالأمس خسر المنتخب السعودي من نظيره الجزائري في مباراة أقل ما يقال عنها لا تليق بمستوى الكرة السعودية التي تحدث عنها «رياض محرز» قائد منتخب الجزائر عبر الصحف الجزائرية، ووصف دورينا وعناصرنا المحلية بأنهم أقوياء، ولا يمكن الانتصار عليهم بسهولة، فلم يكن الملعب وفيّاً لهذا الحديث الذي قاله كابتن الجزائر عن نجوم منتخبنا.

ما زال مدرب المنتخب «هيرفي رينارد» يتخبط بدليل عدم قدرته على حل مشكلة الظهير الأيسر، إذ يستعين بظهير أيمن لتغطية هذا العجز!

أتمنى أن تكون مشاركتنا في كأس العرب من أجل تحقيق البطولة، ومن خلالها قد نشعر أن منتخبنا سيكون قادراً على خوض نهائيات كأس العالم القادمة، ويحقق نتائج جيدة.

In Saudi Arabia, all results at all levels, and in many fields, are witnessing a positive transformation that reflects the strength of the workforce and the desire to excel according to the blessed vision of this great nation. However, when it comes to football specifically, things do not seem to be where we hope they would be. The true measure in this sector, which is followed by many people and belongs to many communities, and which garners the attention of a large segment of humanity, is the results, and this is what we do not find at the level of the national teams specifically.

In the Football Association, led by “Yasser Al-Mashel,” the work does not match the resources provided for us to see teams winning and achieving good results. Some simple details can be looked at and given attention after we accomplish the more important work.

Hiding behind imaginary achievements will not place you in the ideal picture before the sports community. The qualification of the Saudi national team from the Asian playoff to the upcoming World Cup is not a great achievement; we had this presence when the chances of qualification were tougher than they are in this edition, where we could only qualify through the Asian playoff. Similarly, honoring “Salem Al-Dosari” after reaching 100 international matches with the Saudi national team is not considered an achievement that serves the Football Association and makes us praise their work.

Yesterday, the Saudi national team lost to its Algerian counterpart in a match that can only be described as unworthy of the level of Saudi football, which “Riyad Mahrez,” the captain of the Algerian team, spoke about in Algerian newspapers, describing our league and local players as strong and not easily defeated. However, the pitch was not faithful to this statement made by the captain of Algeria about the stars of our national team.

Coach “Hervé Renard” of the national team is still struggling, as evidenced by his inability to solve the left-back problem, resorting to a right-back to cover this deficiency!

I hope that our participation in the Arab Cup is aimed at achieving the championship, and through it, we may feel that our national team will be capable of competing in the next World Cup finals and achieving good results.
