370 ألف زائر يختتمون مهرجان الكتّاب والقرّاء بلوحة ثقافية استثنائية – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو

أسدلت هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة الستار على النسخة الثالثة من مهرجان الكتّاب والقرّاء بمحافظة الطائف، بعد سبعة أيام متواصلة من الحراك الثقافي والإبداعي في متنزه الردّف، خلال الفترة من 9 إلى 15 يناير 2026، في تجربة جمعت بين المعرفة والمتعة تحت شعار لافت حمل دلالته بصدق: «حضورك مكسب».
وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز الواصل أن المهرجان حقق نجاحًا لافتًا على مختلف المستويات، مسجلًا حضور أكثر من 370 ألف زائر، في رقم يعكس تصاعد الوعي الثقافي، ويكرّس مكانة المهرجان كأحد أبرز الفعاليات الأدبية في المملكة.
وأوضح الواصل أن المهرجان جاء امتدادًا لرؤية الهيئة في جعل الأدب جزءًا حيًا من حياة الفرد، عبر تجربة ثقافية شاملة تنطلق من الطائف بما تحمله من إرث أدبي ومكانة تاريخية، ضمن توجه المنظومة الثقافية السعودية في توزيع الفعاليات على مناطق المملكة، وفتح آفاق جديدة للإبداع والتعبير.
وأشار إلى أن البرنامج صُمم ليخاطب جميع فئات المجتمع، جامعًا بين العمق المعرفي والتجربة الترفيهية، بما يتيح للزائر أن يغادر محمّلًا بالدهشة والفائدة معًا، ومؤكدًا استمرار الهيئة في تعزيز حضور الثقافة في المشهد العام، وترسيخ مكانة الأدب في الحياة اليومية، وتهيئة بيئة تفاعلية تجمع الكتّاب والقرّاء والمثقفين، وتحتفي بهم بوصفهم القلب النابض لمنظومة الإنتاج الثقافي.
وتوزعت فعاليات المهرجان على أربعة مواقع رئيسية هي الدرب والمطل والفناء والصرح، وشهدت أكثر من 270 فعالية، تنوعت بين 176 تفعيلة ثقافية، و84 عرضًا مسرحيًا، و7 أمسيات غنائية وشعرية، إلى جانب تجسيد 45 عملًا أدبيًا وفنيًا، و20 منصة فنية أتاحت للحرفيين عرض إبداعاتهم في بيئة احترافية.
كما وفرت الهيئة منصات وتجارب تفاعلية مكّنت الزوّار من الاستماع إلى القصائد، ومتابعة العروض الموسيقية، والحوار مع النصوص والشخصيات الأدبية، والتعرّف على محطات مضيئة في تاريخ الأدب، والتنقل بين عوالم تعبيرية متعددة. وبرز جناح الهيئة بوصفه نافذة تعريفية بمبادراتها ومشاريعها في دعم قطاعات الأدب والنشر والترجمة.
وفي مشهد يعكس الرهان على المستقبل، حضرت منطقة الأطفال بتجربة متكاملة ضمت خمسة أركان رئيسية، وأنشطة تطبيقية، وألعابًا تعليمية، ومسرح الحكواتي، الذي قدّم قصصًا هادفة بأسلوب ممتع يسهم في بناء وعي ثقافي مبكر لدى الأجيال.
ويأتي هذا النجاح متسقًا مع المكانة العالمية التي تحظى بها الطائف بعد إدراجها ضمن شبكة مدن اليونسكو المبدعة في مجال الأدب في 31 أكتوبر 2023، كأول مدينة سعودية تنال هذا التصنيف، في إنجاز يؤكد حضورها المؤثر في المشهدين الأدبي الوطني والعالمي.

بهذا الختام، لم يكن مهرجان الكتّاب والقرّاء مجرد فعالية عابرة، بل محطة ثقافية أعادت للأدب بريقه، وللقارئ مكانته، وللطائف دورها بوصفها مدينة تكتب مستقبلها بالحرف والضوء والذاكرة.

The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority has concluded the third edition of the Writers and Readers Festival in Taif, after seven consecutive days of cultural and creative activity at Al-Ruddaf Park, from January 9 to 15, 2026, in an experience that combined knowledge and enjoyment under a striking slogan that genuinely conveyed its meaning: “Your presence is a gain.”
The CEO of the authority, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, confirmed that the festival achieved remarkable success on various levels, recording the attendance of more than 370,000 visitors, a figure that reflects the rising cultural awareness and solidifies the festival’s position as one of the most prominent literary events in the Kingdom.
Al-Wasel explained that the festival came as an extension of the authority’s vision to make literature a vibrant part of individual life, through a comprehensive cultural experience that starts from Taif, with its literary heritage and historical significance, as part of the Saudi cultural system’s approach to distributing events across the Kingdom and opening new horizons for creativity and expression.
He pointed out that the program was designed to address all segments of society, combining deep knowledge with entertaining experiences, allowing visitors to leave enriched with both wonder and benefit, while affirming the authority’s continued efforts to enhance the presence of culture in the public scene, establish the place of literature in daily life, and create an interactive environment that brings together writers, readers, and intellectuals, celebrating them as the beating heart of the cultural production system.
The festival’s activities were distributed across four main locations: Al-Darb, Al-Matl, Al-Fanā, and Al-Sarh, featuring more than 270 events, which included 176 cultural activities, 84 theatrical performances, and 7 musical and poetic evenings, in addition to showcasing 45 literary and artistic works, and 20 artistic platforms that allowed artisans to present their creations in a professional environment.
The authority also provided interactive platforms and experiences that enabled visitors to listen to poetry, follow musical performances, engage with texts and literary figures, learn about significant milestones in the history of literature, and navigate through multiple expressive worlds. The authority’s pavilion stood out as an informative window for its initiatives and projects supporting the sectors of literature, publishing, and translation.
In a scene that reflects a bet on the future, the children’s area featured a comprehensive experience that included five main corners, practical activities, educational games, and a storytelling theater, which presented meaningful stories in an enjoyable manner that contributes to building early cultural awareness among generations.
This success aligns with the global status that Taif enjoys after being included in the UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature network on October 31, 2023, as the first Saudi city to receive this classification, in an achievement that confirms its influential presence in both the national and global literary scenes.

In conclusion, the Writers and Readers Festival was not just a fleeting event, but a cultural station that restored the luster of literature, the status of the reader, and Taif’s role as a city that writes its future with letters, light, and memory.
