أكدت أمانة جدة، لـ«عكاظ»، أنها تعاملت مع الحالة المطرية التي تشهدها جدة وفق خطط وضعت قبل الحدث. وقال المتحدث باسم الأمانة محمد البقمي، إن الحالة المطرية في شمال جدة أكثر كثافة، وإن الأنفاق لم تغلق، وفي حال تطلب الوضع إغلاق أي نفق سيتم الإعلان عنه عبر الجهة المختصة. وأوضح أن الفرق الميدانية التي تتابع الحالة المطرية بلغ عدد أفرادها 7 آلاف.
ودعت أمانة جدة إلى الإبلاغ عن مواقع تجمعات المياه والحالات الطارئة عبر قنواتها الرسمية، موضحة، في بيان لها، أنها باشرت ميدانياً التعامل مع حالة الأمطار التي تشهدها المحافظة، عبر رفع تجمعات المياه ومعالجة المواقع المتأثرة، لضمان سلامة السكان، وانسيابية الحركة في الطرق العامة، وأن الفرق الميدانية شرعت في تنفيذ مهماتها بنطاق 11 بلدية و15 مركز إسناد، معززة بـ7160 فرداً و1621 معدة وآلية، وذلك تزامناً مع التقارير الواردة من المركز الوطني للأرصاد، مؤكدة تفعيل الخطط واتخاذ التدابير اللازمة ونشر الفرق والآليات، بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية، وأنها رفعت مستوى جاهزيتها للأمطار من خلال تعزيز مراكز الإسناد، وصيانة شبكات تصريف الأمطار القائمة، والتأكد من جاهزية المضخات والمعدات والأفراد لضمان سرعة الاستجابة، مشيرة إلى استمرار متابعتها تنبيهات المركز الوطني للأرصاد ومركز إدارة الأزمات والكوارث، إلى جانب تفعيل الرسائل التوعوية عبر مختلف قنواتها الرسمية، لضمان سلامة السكان والزائرين.
وأهابت أمانة جدة، بالجميع اتخاذ الحيطة والحذر والابتعاد عن مواقع تجمعات المياه وتجنّب مصادر التيار الكهربائي، والإبلاغ عن أي ملاحظات أو حالات طارئة مرتبطة بآثار الحالة المطرية.
«عكاظ» ترصد أحياء شمال جدة
جالت «عكاظ»، في أحياء شمال جدة، والتي شهدت أمطاراً رعدية مع كثافة للحالة المطرية، أبرزها «المحمدية والنعيم والنهضة والبساتين والسلامة»، إضافة إلى أحياء شمال شرق جدة. وبحسب معلومات «عكاظ»، فإن أحياء شمال جدة الأكثر كثافة في كمية الأمطار.
Jeddah Municipality confirmed to “Okaz” that it has dealt with the rainy situation currently affecting Jeddah according to plans established before the event. The spokesperson for the municipality, Mohammed Al-Buqami, stated that the rainfall in northern Jeddah is more intense, and that the tunnels have not been closed. If the situation requires the closure of any tunnel, an announcement will be made through the relevant authority. He explained that the field teams monitoring the rainy conditions consist of 7,000 individuals.
The Jeddah Municipality urged citizens to report locations of water accumulation and emergency situations through its official channels, clarifying in a statement that it has actively engaged in addressing the rainfall situation in the governorate by removing water accumulations and addressing affected areas to ensure the safety of residents and the smooth flow of traffic on public roads. The field teams have begun implementing their tasks across 11 municipalities and 15 support centers, reinforced by 7,160 personnel and 1,621 pieces of equipment and machinery, in conjunction with reports from the National Center for Meteorology. The municipality confirmed the activation of plans, taking necessary measures, and deploying teams and equipment in coordination with relevant authorities, and has raised its readiness for rain by enhancing support centers, maintaining existing rain drainage networks, and ensuring the readiness of pumps, equipment, and personnel to guarantee a swift response. It also noted that it continues to monitor alerts from the National Center for Meteorology and the Crisis and Disaster Management Center, in addition to activating awareness messages through its various official channels to ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
The Jeddah Municipality called on everyone to exercise caution and avoid areas of water accumulation and to stay away from sources of electrical current, and to report any observations or emergency situations related to the effects of the rainy conditions.
“Okaz” monitors neighborhoods in northern Jeddah
“Okaz” toured the neighborhoods in northern Jeddah, which experienced thunderous rains with significant rainfall intensity, particularly in “Al-Mohammadiyah, Al-Naeem, Al-Nahda, Al-Basatin, and Al-Salamah,” in addition to neighborhoods in northeastern Jeddah. According to information from “Okaz,” the neighborhoods in northern Jeddah received the highest amount of rainfall.
