أمير «الشرقية» يضع حجر الأساس لمنطقة لوجستية متكاملة – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو
وضع أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، اليوم (الأحد)، بحضور وزير النقل والخدمات اللوجستية رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للموانئ «موانئ» المهندس صالح بن ناصر الجاسر، حجر الأساس لمنطقة لوجستية متكاملة.
كما افتتح أمير الشرقية أعمال التوسعة الجديدة في محطة الحاويات الثانية بالميناء باستثمارات من القطاع الخاص تتجاوز 2.8 مليار ريال، وذلك بحضور عدد من المسؤولين والمختصين في القطاع البحري.
وأكد أمير المنطقة الشرقية أن ميناء الملك عبدالعزيز يمثل ركيزة محورية في دعم النشاط الاقتصادي والصناعي في المملكة، ودورا مهما في تعزيز حركة الصادرات والواردات وسلاسل الإمداد، مشيدا بالدعم اللامحدود الذي توليه القيادة الرشيدة لتطوير قطاع الموانئ والصناعة البحرية وتمكين الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص، بما يرفع من تنافسية الموانئ السعودية ويعزز قدرتها على جذب الاستثمارات النوعية، مؤكدا أهمية الدور الحيوي الذي يقوم به ميناء الملك عبدالعزيز بالدمام في خدمة الصناعات الوطنية وتنمية حركة التجارة، وترسيخ مكانة المنطقة الشرقية كبوابة اقتصادية عالمية.
وقال وزير النقل والخدمات اللوجستية إن هذه المشاريع تسهم في رفع مستويات الكفاءة والإنتاجية، وتوفير فرص عمل جديدة للكوادر الوطنية، إضافة إلى تعزيز الميزة التنافسية لميناء الملك عبدالعزيز بالدمام، وجعله عنصر جذب استثماري وتجاري عالمي، يساهم في تحقيق نهضة اقتصادية رائدة، تدعم الناتج المحلي والتجارة البينية بين المملكة ودول العالم، وذلك في ظل الدعم الكبير الذي تحظى به منظومة النقل والخدمات اللوجستية من لدن خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وولي عهده الأمين.
وأوضح أن هذه الخطوة تأتي في إطار تطوير منظومة نقل بحري مستدام ومزدهر، يحقق الطموحات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للمملكة، بما يتوافق مع رؤية السعودية 2030م، لترسيخ مكانة المملكة كمركز لوجستي عالمي، ومحور ربط القارات الثلاث، كما تعكس مساعي «موانئ» لتعزيز قطاع الموانئ، عبر تطوير البنية التحتية، والإسهام الفعال في تعزيز حركة التجارة وسلاسل الإمداد، وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية.
من جانبه، أكد رئيس الهيئة العامة للموانئ المهندس سليمان بن خالد المزروع أن المشاريع التطويرية الجديدة تحقق قيمة اقتصادية مضافة تشمل زيادة المناولة، ودعم التنوع الاقتصادي، وتطوير مستوى الخدمات، كما تسهم في تعزيز التكامل الذكي بين ميناء الملك عبدالعزيز ومنظومة ميناء الرياض الجاف، عبر تسهيل نقل البضائع من البحر إلى السكك الحديدية، بما يعزز تنافسية الممر التجاري الشرقي للمملكة.
وتبلغ القيمة الاستثمارية للمنطقة اللوجستية 1.3 مليار ريال، وتمتد على مساحة مليون متر مربع، بما يعمل على تعزيز كفاءة سلاسل الإمداد، ورفع الطاقة الاستيعابية لميناء الملك عبدالعزيز بالدمام، وزيادة تنافسيته كمركز جذب تجاري ولوجستي عالمي.
كما توفر المنطقة حزمة من الخدمات النوعية المؤتمتة تشمل مناطق تخزين للبضائع العامة والمواد المبردة، وساحات للمنتجات البتروكيماوية، ومنطقة لإعادة التصدير، وحلولا للتجارة الرقمية والتوزيع المحلي.
وفي السياق نفسه، تبلغ القيمة الاستثمارية لمشروع التوسعة الجديدة في محطة الحاويات الثانية 1.5 مليار ريال، مما سيرفع القدرة الاستيعابية من 2.5 مليون حاوية قياسية، إلى 3.8 مليون حاوية مستقبلا.
ويعد مشروع التوسعة بالشراكة مع الشركة السعودية العالمية للموانئ، نقلة نوعية في تعزيز الكفاءة التشغيلية للميناء واستخدام تقنيات الموانئ الذكية والبنية التحتية المتطورة، إذ تشمل التوسعة إضافة 225 مترا إلى الرصيف 44، بجوار الرصيفين 42 و43، اللذين يبلغ طولهما مجتمعين 700 متر.
وباكتمال مشروع التوسعة، سيصل طول الأرصفة لمحطة الحاويات الثانية إلى 925 مترا، ما يمكّن المحطة من استقبال سفينتين عملاقتين في آنٍ واحد.
The Emir of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, today (Sunday), in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Ports “Ports,” Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, laid the foundation stone for an integrated logistics area.
The Emir of the Eastern Province also inaugurated the new expansion works at the second container terminal at the port, with investments from the private sector exceeding 2.8 billion riyals, in the presence of a number of officials and specialists in the maritime sector.
The Emir emphasized that King Abdulaziz Port represents a pivotal cornerstone in supporting economic and industrial activity in the Kingdom, playing an important role in enhancing the movement of exports and imports and supply chains. He praised the unlimited support provided by the wise leadership to develop the ports and maritime industry sector and enable partnerships with the private sector, which enhances the competitiveness of Saudi ports and strengthens their ability to attract quality investments, affirming the vital role played by King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam in serving national industries and developing trade movement, and establishing the Eastern Province’s position as a global economic gateway.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services stated that these projects contribute to raising levels of efficiency and productivity, providing new job opportunities for national cadres, in addition to enhancing the competitive advantage of King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, making it a global investment and trade attraction, contributing to achieving a pioneering economic renaissance that supports local output and inter-trade between the Kingdom and countries around the world, in light of the significant support that the transport and logistics services system receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trustworthy Crown Prince.
He explained that this step comes within the framework of developing a sustainable and prosperous maritime transport system that achieves the economic and social aspirations of the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a connector of the three continents. It also reflects the efforts of “Ports” to enhance the ports sector by developing infrastructure, effectively contributing to boosting trade movement and supply chains, and achieving sustainable development, in line with the objectives of the national transport and logistics strategy.
For his part, the Chairman of the General Authority for Ports, Engineer Suleiman bin Khalid Al-Mazrou, confirmed that the new development projects achieve added economic value, including increased handling, supporting economic diversification, and improving service levels. They also contribute to enhancing smart integration between King Abdulaziz Port and the Riyadh Dry Port system by facilitating the transfer of goods from sea to rail, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the eastern trade corridor of the Kingdom.
The investment value of the logistics area is 1.3 billion riyals, extending over an area of one million square meters, which works to enhance the efficiency of supply chains, increase the capacity of King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and boost its competitiveness as a global commercial and logistics attraction.
The area also provides a package of automated quality services, including storage areas for general goods and refrigerated materials, yards for petrochemical products, a re-export area, and solutions for digital trade and local distribution.
In the same context, the investment value of the new expansion project at the second container terminal is 1.5 billion riyals, which will raise the capacity from 2.5 million standard containers to 3.8 million containers in the future.
The expansion project, in partnership with the Saudi Global Ports Company, represents a qualitative leap in enhancing the operational efficiency of the port and utilizing smart port technologies and advanced infrastructure, as the expansion includes adding 225 meters to berth 44, next to berths 42 and 43, which together measure 700 meters in length.
With the completion of the expansion project, the length of the berths at the second container terminal will reach 925 meters, enabling the terminal to accommodate two giant ships simultaneously.
