واصل ممثل الوطن (الاتحاد) انتفاضته الآسيوية محققاً فوزه الثاني على التوالي بعد تفوقه على ضيفه الشارقة الإماراتي بنتيجة 3/ 0 في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد «الإنماء» بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، ضمن الجولة الرابعة من منافسات منطقة الغرب في دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة 2025-2026.
وسجل أهداف الاتحاد ستيفن بيرغوين (د:8) وكريم بنزيما (د:66) وروجر فيرنانديز (د:90+4).
شهد اللقاء سيطرة اتحادية مبكرة نجح من خلالها في افتتاح التسجيل إثر كرة عرضية عالية لعبها مهند الشنقيطي من الجانب الأيمن داخل منطقة الجزاء حوّلها الهولندي ستيفن بيرغوين برأسه مُتقنة نحو الزاوية اليمنى بعيداً عن الحارس عادل الحوسني لتسكن الشباك هدفاً أول للاتحاد (د:8)، وكاد موسى ديابي يضاعف النتيجة بعد أن استلم كرة بينية جميلة على مشارف المنطقة قبل أن يتقدم داخل الصندوق ويراوغ الحارس الحوسني ولكنه سدد الكرة في الشباك الخارجية ليضيع هدفاً محققاً للاتحاد.
ومع بداية مجريات الشوط الثاني، تألق الحارس الصربي رايكوفيتش حامي عرين الاتحاد وحرم الشارقة من إدراك التعادل بعد أن تصدى لتسديدتين متتاليتين، إذ سدد عثمان كامارا كرة قوية بيسراه من خارج منطقة الجزاء نحو الزاوية اليسرى وتصدى لها رايكوفيتش ببراعة قبل أن تعود أمام غيليرمي بيرو الذي تابعها بيسراه، لكن الحارس تألق في التصدي للكرة مرة أخرى.
وشهد اللقاء لقطة عاطفية عند الدقيقة 59 عندما شارك إيغور كورنادو ضد فريقه السابق وسط تصفيق جمهور الاتحاد له ليبادلهم التحية، ومن تمريرة ذكية من محمد ودمبيا كسر موسى ديابي حاجز التسلل وانفرد بالحارس الحوسني ليمررها لقائد الفريق كريم بنزيما الذي أسكن الكرة في الشباك هدفاً ثانياً للاتحاد (د:66)، ومجدداً كسر الاتحاد حاجز التسلل عن طريق أحمد الغامدي الذي تلقى تمريرة رائعة من نغولو كانتي لينفرد الغامدي بالمرمى ويمررها لزميله روجر فيرنانديز ليسكنها في الشباك هدفاً ثالثاً للاتحاد (د:90+4)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز العميد بثلاثة أهداف دون مقابل.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الاتحاد فوزه الثاني ويصل للنقطة السادسة محتلاً المركز السادس، فيما تلقى الشارقة الخسارة الثانية وتجمد رصيده عند 4 نقاط في المركز الثامن، وسيلاقي الاتحاد في الجولة القادمة مضيفه الدحيل الإثنين 24 نوفمبر، وفي اليوم ذاته يحل الشارقة ضيفاً على ممثل الوطن الآخر (الأهلي) وفي الملعب ذاته الذي شهد خسارته من الاتحاد بثلاثية نظيفة.
The representative of the nation (Al-Ittihad) continued its Asian uprising, achieving its second consecutive victory after defeating its guest, Al-Sharjah from the UAE, with a score of 3-0 in the match held at the “Al-Inma” stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the fourth round of the Western Zone competitions in the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League.
Al-Ittihad’s goals were scored by Steven Bergwijn (8′), Karim Benzema (66′), and Roger Fernandez (90+4).
The match witnessed early dominance from Al-Ittihad, which managed to open the scoring with a high cross played by Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti from the right side into the penalty area, which the Dutchman Steven Bergwijn expertly headed into the right corner, away from goalkeeper Adel Al-Hosni, to find the net for the first goal for Al-Ittihad (8′). Moussa Diaby nearly doubled the score after receiving a beautiful through ball on the edge of the area before advancing into the box and dribbling past goalkeeper Al-Hosni, but he shot the ball into the outer net, missing a clear goal for Al-Ittihad.
At the beginning of the second half, Serbian goalkeeper Rajkovic, the guardian of Al-Ittihad’s goal, shone and denied Al-Sharjah the chance to equalize after he saved two consecutive shots. Osman Kamara struck a powerful left-footed shot from outside the penalty area towards the left corner, which Rajkovic brilliantly saved before it returned to Guilherme Biro, who followed it up with his left foot, but the goalkeeper excelled again in saving the ball.
The match witnessed an emotional moment in the 59th minute when Igor Coronado played against his former team, receiving applause from Al-Ittihad fans in return. From a clever pass by Mohamed Woudmbia, Moussa Diaby broke the offside trap and found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Al-Hosni, passing it to team captain Karim Benzema, who placed the ball in the net for a second goal for Al-Ittihad (66′). Once again, Al-Ittihad broke the offside trap through Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, who received a wonderful pass from N’Golo Kante, allowing Al-Ghamdi to break free on goal and pass it to his teammate Roger Fernandez, who found the net for a third goal for Al-Ittihad (90+4), ending the match with a victory for Al-Ittihad by three goals to none.
With this result, Al-Ittihad achieves its second victory, reaching six points and occupying sixth place, while Al-Sharjah suffers its second defeat, remaining at four points in eighth place. Al-Ittihad will face its host, Al-Duhail, on Monday, November 24, while on the same day, Al-Sharjah will visit the other representative of the nation (Al-Ahli) at the same stadium where it suffered a clean defeat from Al-Ittihad.
