زلزال قوي يضرب شمال اليابان.. وتحذيرات من تسونامي – أخبار السعودية – كورا نيو

أعلنت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية تسجيل زلزال قوي بلغت شدته 6.7 درجة على مقياس ريختر، ضرب السواحل الشمالية للبلاد مساء أمس (السبت)، ما دفع السلطات إلى إصدار تحذيرات عاجلة من موجات مدٍّ عاتية (تسونامي).
ووفق البيان الرسمي، وقع الزلزال قبالة سواحل مقاطعة إيواتي على عمق عشرة كيلومترات تحت سطح البحر، وتوقعت الهيئة أن تصل موجات تسونامي إلى ارتفاع متر واحد على طول الشريط الساحلي الشمالي.
ودعت السلطات المحلية السكان في المناطق المنخفضة إلى التوجّه فوراً إلى أماكن مرتفعة، محذّرة من احتمال وقوع هزّات ارتدادية. كما جرى تعليق حركة القطارات السريعة احترازياً في عدد من المقاطعات القريبة من مركز الزلزال، وسط متابعة دقيقة لتطورات الموقف.
ويعتبر هذا الزلزال من أقوى الهزّات التي تشهدها اليابان خلال الأشهر الأخيرة، في بلد يُعدّ من أكثر المناطق نشاطاً زلزالياً على مستوى العالم.

The Japan Meteorological Agency announced the recording of a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 on the Richter scale, which struck the northern coasts of the country last night (Saturday), prompting authorities to issue urgent warnings of possible tsunami waves.
According to the official statement, the earthquake occurred off the coast of Iwate Prefecture at a depth of ten kilometers below the sea surface, and the agency predicted that tsunami waves could reach a height of one meter along the northern coastline.
Local authorities urged residents in low-lying areas to immediately move to higher ground, warning of the possibility of aftershocks. Additionally, high-speed train services were suspended as a precaution in several prefectures near the earthquake’s epicenter, with close monitoring of the situation’s developments.
This earthquake is considered one of the strongest tremors Japan has experienced in recent months, in a country that is one of the most seismically active regions in the world.
