أعلنت شركات الطيران الأمريكية إلغاء أكثر من 1100 رحلة جوية عبر البلاد حتى صباح اليوم (الأحد) مع استمرار الاضطرابات الشديدة في حركة الطيران، بعد أن حددت إدارة الطيران الفيدرالية القدرة التشغيلية في 40 مطاراً رئيسياً لتجنب كارثة محتملة، في ظل أطول إغلاق حكومي في تاريخ الولايات المتحدة، الذي دخل يومه الـ30، حيث تحولت سماء أمريكا إلى كابوس للمسافرين.
بداية الأزمة
بدأت الأزمة تصعد يوم الجمعة الماضي عندما أعلنت إدارة الطيران نقصاً حاداً في المراقبين الجويين في مراكز رئيسية مثل نيويورك وفلوريدا، حيث غاب عشرات الموظفين عن نوباتهم بسبب عدم تلقي رواتبهم منذ أسابيع.
وقال متحدث باسم نقابة المراقبين الجويين: «نحن نعمل بأقل من 70% من الطاقم المعتاد، وهذا يهدد السلامة»، مضيفاً أن الإرهاق يزيد من مخاطر الأخطاء.
توقف حركة الطيران
وفي مطار لاغوارديا بنيويورك، الذي يُعد أحد أكثر المطارات ازدحاماً، توقفت حركة الإقلاع تماماً لساعات صباح السبت، ما أدى إلى إلغاء 300 رحلة على الأقل، واحتشد مسافرون غاضبون في صالات الانتظار، حيث روت الراكبة سارة جونسون من شيكاغو: «كنت أنوي زيارة عائلتي، لكن رحلتي أُلغيت 3 مرات، هذا الإغلاق يدمر حياة الناس العاديين!».
وأبلغت شركات الطيران الكبرى مثل دلتا، يونايتد، وأمريكان إيرلاينز عن خسائر يومية تصل إلى ملايين الدولارات، مع تأخيرات متوسطها 4 ساعات في المطارات المتضررة. ووفقاً لموقع FlightAware، بلغ إجمالي الرحلات المتأثرة أكثر من 5000 رحلة منذ بداية الأسبوع، ما يفاقم الضغط على نظام النقل الجوي الذي ينقل أكثر من مليون مسافر يومياً.
ترمب يلقي اللوم على الديموقراطيين
وألقى الرئيس ترمب، في تغريدة على منصته «تروث سوشيال»، اللوم على الديموقراطيين قائلاً: «الديموقراطيون يرفضون تمويل الأمن الحدودي، ويستخدمون المراقبين الجويين كرهائن!». بينما ردت رئيسة مجلس النواب ببيان يدعو إلى إنهاء الإغلاق فوراً: «سلامة الشعب الأمريكي أولوية، وهذا الإغلاق يعرضها للخطر».
ويُعد الإغلاق الحكومي في الولايات المتحدة ظاهرة تحدث عندما يفشل الكونغرس في تمرير ميزانية فيدرالية أو تمديد مؤقت للإنفاق، ما يؤدي إلى توقف تمويل الوكالات الحكومية غير الأساسية.

The Beginning of the Crisis
The crisis began to escalate last Friday when the FAA announced a severe shortage of air traffic controllers in key centers such as New York and Florida, where dozens of employees missed their shifts due to not receiving their paychecks for weeks.
A spokesperson for the air traffic controllers’ union said, “We are operating with less than 70% of the usual staff, and this threatens safety,” adding that fatigue increases the risk of errors.
Flight Grounding
At LaGuardia Airport in New York, one of the busiest airports, all departures were completely halted for hours on Saturday morning, leading to the cancellation of at least 300 flights, with angry passengers crowding the waiting areas. Passenger Sarah Johnson from Chicago recounted, “I intended to visit my family, but my flight has been canceled 3 times, this shutdown is ruining the lives of ordinary people!”.
Major airlines such as Delta, United, and American Airlines reported daily losses reaching millions of dollars, with average delays of 4 hours at affected airports. According to FlightAware, the total number of affected flights exceeded 5,000 since the beginning of the week, exacerbating the pressure on the air transport system that carries over a million passengers daily.
Trump Blames Democrats
President Trump, in a tweet on his platform “Truth Social,” blamed the Democrats, saying, “The Democrats refuse to fund border security and are using air traffic controllers as hostages!”. Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House responded with a statement calling for an immediate end to the shutdown: “The safety of the American people is a priority, and this shutdown puts it at risk”.
